Two techniques for your arsenal of flashiness

Do you have to connect with the top of the shine?, so when they fall they're in range for a Bair? this seems rather hard...does anyone have tips, like what buttons you use.

Right now i use Y shine, Y Bair.

You don't need to connect with the top of the shine, just make sure that when you hit him/her he/she will go to your back so you can bair him/her (be spaced properly)

You can bair with the C-stick if you feel more comfortable, I personally do it without the c-stick and I jump with X
