It is just weird that Zelda would go that route.

I was half expecting to see Clint Eastwood in a poncho shooting down rancheros and smoking a fat hand-rolled cigarette.
They left that out so OoT would continue holding the title of best Zelda game. TP would have broken so many charts if they had allowed that in the final product.

I'd like to further discuss the Death Mountain issue. What in the world happened to it? Was there any explanation for why it appeared to be a giant meteor?

Sorry to go back to the cowbow thing, but the shoot out in the hidden village was one of my favorite parts. The atmosphere was perfect, and the whole thing was hilariously awesome.

I can't really say anything much on Death Mountain because I pretty much have no idea either.

Yeah, I dont really know WHAT death Mountain is. My best assumption is that the magma and lava just kept building on top of itself and slowly became a weird freaky spherical...thingy.

Then again, I have no idea. I also dont understand why the Goron city suddenly became only a one-room sumo stage. All the gorons have to live outside now? Outside where all the lava and falling rocks are? I know lava doesnt hurt gorons, but falling rocks do.

I actually think the spherical magma thingy is the actual Death Mountain. The 'Death Mountain' accessible from Kakariko Village is just the new Goron Territory and the Goron Mines. Notice it's not actually much of a mountain.

Ok, first off: My visual memory is not the best and i can't find some good pictures of it yet.
But as far as i remember he still looks like a mountain. The only meteor similar thing is the giant rock that fall down...

And he has still some similarities with the fire temple from OoT.

And if you say "meteor", i must assume you didn't see much rocks and mountains. The nature has many strange appearances... But i don't think that it is a meteor or something in that way...

If it wasn't for LttP this would be my favorite Zelda game.

The sumo part alone makes this game one of the best of all time.

Yes it is a very good game except for the chicken thing that broke the tradition
Normally I'm at least slightly more rational than this, but I gotta agree with this guy. While I generally repsect them trying to innovate and change things, not having the chickens attack when attacked was just a bit too much. Fowl-o-vision was okay, but nothing beats the terror of running into the nearest house, hoping to dodge enough chickens so that your hearts last.

... What are video games' deal with chickens? I have noticed that in every single game that there is a chicken, it is impossible to kill them... even though you can kill every other animal. its like the super animal in video games.

In my opinion cucco-vision is an all right addition in TP. It's not at all a bad idea to change things around every once in a while. Playing as the cucco is just as fun as running from millions of them!

Hey guys, since my thread (Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Hidden Skills) was locked:ohwell:...

Let's discuss again about all the Hidden Skills ?

1. Ending Blow

2. Shield Attack

3. Back Slice

4. Helm Splitter

5. Mortal Draw

6. Jump Strike

7. Great Spin

* Do you have any Personal Combo with the Hidden Skills ?
For example - Shield Attack -> Helm Splitter -> Great/Normal Spin.

Well, Mortal Draw > all. Ending Blow is pretty sweet too. Shield Attack felt like something Link should have had generations ago (well, he did have it as his guard impact in Soul Calibur II...). Great Spin felt anti-climactic to me.

Which is why it's my favorite attack in TP. I absolutely love using this attack. Mortal draw just isn't worth it for me; I like combat, not executions.

It looks like a meteor more than a mountain/volcano like it should. Check these images out:

That's Death Mountain in the background.

Ending Blow is awesome and should be used in 1vs1 Combat, cause If you miss, you will stay very helpless. That's the reason that I don't use Ending Blow frequently.

Quite Agreed.

Shield Attack is the most useful Hidden Skill. I use it constantly and I don't know why shield attack doesn't reflect the Ganon's Puppet Zelda projectiles.

You're pretty right Spire, Mortal Draw is too good, but it isn't worth. I just for "executions".

EDIT: Hey guys.
Another thing:

I will put this in my last post.

My only combo is Mortal Draw -> sword put-away animation of win. When I found out I could do this in-game, rather than just watch Link do it whenever he did something awesome, I was pumped. Probably the only thing that made me happier than that concerning swordplay was the running cuts on each side for superior grass-cutting. that's something that was also a long time coming.

Let's not forget about Link's hidden rolling attack -- swing the wii remote or press B (GC) to stab after a roll. It does about as much damage as a jump attack, I believe.

Well, That's probably the best combo, since Mortal Draw deals Instant Death. lol

There are many Combos that we can do, I guess.

As Spire III said, Mortal Draw isn't very worth and I totally agree with him cause some grunts are completely dumb.

Do you have another combo beyond Mortal Draw -> Sword Put-Away animation of win ?

I use a lot Shield Attack -> Helm Splitter -> Great/Normal Spin against strong foes, cause the Spin protect you to get punished.

I use Shield Attack -> Normal Spin -> Ending Blow too.

Did you mean the Back Slice ?

I swear, I can't figure out how to use a couple of the attacks on the wii controller.

I think I've never been able to use helm splitter or shield attack...Don't remember exactly

Because of that, I did use mortal draw most of the time when needed

That's good. I will create another profile when I get all the Poe Souls in my current game.

About your question...There is an unlocked door which has the chest containing the small key.

I was in the Twilight Princess's Temple of Time and I started trying to decipher what the scriptures meant.
There are 2 different scriptures in the walls. I noticed that both Right scripture and Left scripture are differents, but they are in the same language, The Hylian Laguage.
Well, these scriptures are weird and almost impossible to be translated, but the game gave some clues.

Does anyone have any idea what these scriptures mean ?

Let's Discuss ?

EDIT:
We can still discuss about the Hidden Skills too.

^ I actually deciphered them once long ago. I can't for the life of me remember, and the document is stored deep in some folder on my old, decrepit computer, but I can tell you that it's nothing too special.

Just, "Goddesses, Triforce, Master Sword, Door of Time," stuff like that.

The words are "Master Sword, Copy Rod, Stone Statue, Sanctuary". I deciphered it by printing out a Hylian-English translation (Hylian is really just distorted English letters) image and figured that out. Here is the Hylian alphabet for both GC and Wii (Remember, Wii is mirrored).

I also remember that the door in the Sacred Grove says "Time Door", and there were some other miscellaneous texts I translated but forgot.

I'd also like to throw this in. I made it a while back, and I may have posted it on the Zelda thread a while back before SWF got the Zelda forum. I'd like to point out, though, that it actually translates to "Lanalu" instead of "Lanayru", which still confuses me, as well as Latoan (Ordon) and Faronc (Faron).

That's Awesome Phantom7 !

That Hylian Alphabet is amazing.

I wonder if the walls are in a different language in Japan.
It's a good chance for this to be true.

I think they mixed Japanese in Hylian. I dunno.

The Hylian from WW and before is based on Japanese, the Hylian in TP is based on English.

Well, after getting Twilight Princess back after a year, I figured out why I had a hard time with Shield attack...

I was moving the nunchuk too fast forward and for some reason it always used spin attack instead...

I can't believe I never tried moving the nunchuk slowly forward a year ago...

I wonder where X and Z came from, though. They look pretty drastically different.
Y and Z are pretty similar. The Hylian Y looks like a normal Y without one branch and Z has just a slight feel to it. X is bizarre though.

About scriptures ...
I was trying to decipher some egyptian scriptures of Arbiter's Grounds. I didn't take any picture for now.

I thought the story of Arbiter's Grounds interesting. I wonder who was there beyond Ganondorf.

Does anyone have notions of what these scriptures can be?

I only got a brief sample of the TP Wii controls, but liked them once I got used to them. I do believe that as far as the two versions go, GC > Wii. Why? One reason only: the map. I want my Zelda maps properly oriented, not backwards. Also, I like my Links left-handed, and as a righty, would love to play lefty if given the option. I don't hold the right-handedness of Link against them though. It makes sense why they did it. I just don't like that the whole map had to be backwards. Gerudo Valley has to be in the west, and Death Mountain in the east, etc.
