I could never find all the Poes.

And I loved the characters. Yeta, Midna, the creepy money doll thing...

I'm sure I would enjoy Twilight Princess so much more if I played it at the age that I played OoT. However, I would probably then never go back to play OoT. I didn't get into Zelda until OoT was released (I was a late bloomer in the video game world), so I have yet to even go back and complete ALttP.

All in all, I wouldn't sacrifice OoT for TP.

Great ideas, great concepts, great design, but poor difficulty and replay factor. When it takes you a good 30 hours to play through the game on the first run through, yet you've not even come close to dying once, the replay factor lies only in the yearning for re-experiencing certain parts of the game rather than replaying it for the sheer fun factor in it. Granted, however, none of the Zelda games are truly fun, and in my opinion, all lack replay value to some degree. I wouldn't want to read a book over and over and over, and that's kind of what the Zelda games are.

Despite all that I have said, I love the Zelda franchise more than any other to date.

It's LoZ, not Ninja F***** Gaiden!

We know going into it that the game is going to be easy, just enjoy the ride...

I don't know what people are talking about when they say this game is easy. O_o I found it pretty tough on the first try, but then, it was my first Zelda game... I even found PH slightly challenging once or twice.

And I don't like OoT, but perhaps it's because my cartridge is glitched. I have a history of that, as my PH cartridge was glitched as well before I stopped Action Replay'ing it. :bee:

But anyway, I loved it. Great music, graphics, story...

I actually really enjoyed the game. I loved the music, the dungeons and everything else. Except those Deku Babas (The plant things) having a phobia of plants sucks, and they keep adding those in every new game, and I get scared, especially the first boss *shudders.* Of course Ocarina of Time was better for me, because it's that game I played as a kid that has that 'special' thing to it.

All in all I loved Twlight Princess.

one of the best games ever.

sad zelda TP story:

was instaling the homebrew channel using the twilight hack. when the gay guy on the video told me 2 delete the data.bin file. i was all ok wutever, so i did. and replaced it with the twilight hack data.bin file. but if the twilight hack was the save file, wasnt the one i deleted a save file!!?? o noes! it was deleted of an SD card, so i cant get it in the recycle bin. That stupid guy only thought about himself wen he said 2 delete it, kuz he only borrowed a copy and thats all u need. he never played the game. so he dosnt need to move the file. so i lost everything :mad:
the end :p

IMO

Pros:

Long main game
Some sword fights can be quite fun (I.E. Darknuts and Dinofols)
For once there are new sword techniques that you can use (though you have to learn them)
Bosses look cool.
No boring fetch quests like the Windwaker Tricofrce shards

Cons:
Not much to do after beating the game
Boss fights are usually on the easy side.
Items don't get used much after finishing its dungeon

Overall, It's a good game , and I have a hard time deciding whether it or OoT is better.

TP is a solid Zelda game. It's not the best, but it's definitely good.

In terms of story, it's quite good. It tells the classic tale again, but adds the Twilight twist on it. Zant and Midna's roles are interesting. OoT probably wins over TP on this because it told this story best, but TP is a worthy successor.

TP's characters are decent. Midna is interesting. Zant is too. Ilia, while being a bit annoying, was good too. Link himself showed more emotion than usual. He cared about Ilia and Midna, and in general seemed more reactive than other Links, except WW Link, probably. However, I feel that the supporting characters are generally not very memorable. Outside of Link, Ganon, Zelda, Zant, and Midna, who was there? There were the kids, who were just kind of annoying, especially Colin. There was the bar lady and her friends, but they aren't that memorable. I don't remember any of their names. There were others too, but I just feel like they weren't as memorable as the cast in other games, especially WW and MM. MM in particular had tons of people I remember and cared about, due in part to the nature of the game.

As far as combat, TP wins hands down. The hidden moves are all good, and some are awesome. Mortal Draw is bosses is epic win, and it's a load of fun to take out the mini boss in the Temple of Time with only that. Other Zeldas just lack the hidden moves, though Minish Cap had a bunch of hidden moves too. Also, they introduced a bunch of interesting new items. While they were all full of potential, they mostly weren't used as well as they could've been and were mostly abandoned after their dungeon.

Graphically, it's the best looking Zelda we've had yet. But I don't know if I can say that it wins. Yeah, I know. But hear me out. I would argue that its graphics won't age well, much like OoT & MM, whereas WW is less inclined to look dated due to its style. WW wasn't designed to look as realistic as possible; it had a unique style that will keep it looking good long after the TP graphics are dated.

Dungeons in this game are good. Easy, but good. Bosses are easy, but the last half of them are ridiculously epic. Plus the dungeons are still cool. Arbiter's Grounds was pretty sweet. Snowpeak is definitely the best concept for a dungeon I've encountered in a Zelda game ever. Plus, Hyrule Castle itself is so overwhelmingly epic in nature that the lack of a serious challenge can be forgiven, at least by me.

I could go on, but I won't. You get the point. I recommend this game, but with the warning that it is easy, and not the best Zelda game. In my opinion, OoT, WW, MM, and my personal favorite Link's Awakening are better. But don't let that stop you. Go, get the game, enjoy it, and all that jazz.

If you like Zelda, get it. Easy as that.

I pretty much agree with what Scott said. The dungeons were pretty freaking sweet because they didn't use the dark, scary stone underground thing like they do in every other game. Each dungeon gives a really unique sort of feel that I've never gotten from dungeons in other Zelda games.

The main point of failing for TP is the lack of intriguing sidequests, like those in the previous 3D Zeldas, especially compared to Majora's Mask. Other than that, though...The game is pretty much exactly what you'd expect from a new Zelda game. Go for it.

TP was dissapointing. Only because despite the great music, and the large amount of adventuring/sidequests, the game was just easy - despite the fact that I had been led to believe before its release that it was going to be the hardest Zelda to date. (MM forever)

The bosses, while huge and impressive to look at, were pushovers. The dungeons started off well, and a couple are really well done and very creative, though the rest just seem to drag.

Still, it's a fun game, and worth buying. Just don't expect for it to be some great masterpiece in adventure gaming.

Definitely like it, one of my favorite Zelda games. Probably second to OoT. Maybe even surpasses it IMO, although that would be blasphemy.
