It's actually pretty simple to telecancel across the platforms in Battlefield. You become accustomed to the timing after a while.

Now, telecanceling to a moving platform from the ground (i.e. GHZ, Smashville), that takes significant skill.

Even better, telecanceling onto a platform after recovering from a hard knockback attack? Woah.

I've never had an issue doing it horizontally, but doing it starting from the ground and going up to a platform seems to have many Zelda mains (myself included) stumped.

Loving the platform telecancels.

Did you know you can refresh your ledge intangibility (and do so without being vulnerable if you're frame perfect) by dropping from the ledge and regrabbing with the start up of Farore's Wind? Seems like it could've been helpful in some of your gfycats FYI.
True, tho sometimes with Roy and marth that's dangerous since their up b's are both really fast, you end up getting stage spiked sometimes since the intangibility takes a few frames to refresh from farore's.

Lots of practice, I'm trying to learn to be more consistent with them so I can style on people by techchasing vertically with teleports. I should probably get good first, but eh.

The only actually difficult teleports are the ones that go up, you won't pass through a second platform when going down so you can wait on those much longer than the 2-frame window you get going upwards.
Ya those are the ones I was referring to lol. The others are pretty simple. I get the upward ones like 1 in every 3 attempts and no one here has seemed to be able how to do them with any consistency, and since the endlag on a missed telecancel is so horrid I pretty much dismissed the upward ones as not worth the risk. But you've piqued my interest in investing more time in it haha

I'm much better at telecancelling to the moving platforms on GHZ and Smashville than the stationary platforms on any stage. Oops.

Thread Update 2:
I think I was able to fix the spoiler issue but I'm still taking it slow. For some reason [color] codes were adding spoiler tags to my BB code. I added a few more gfy's (including Irish's potato quality clip) and added a new player or two to the growing list. I'm really excited to see all of this new Zelda potential!

Why are the GIFs sometimes huge? Occasionally a GIF will be posted that's too big to fit on screen without scrolling.

I've made some gfycats since I finally got some matches on stream with moments I'm proud of. Some of these are doubles, some of these are Sheilda, and a few are just plain Sheik (as in the whole gfy as Sheik. I still play all the matches as both), but I still think they're all cool and, as a Sheilda main, I think Zelda players should know some of Sheik's options just so they don't panic when accidentally transforming.

Thread Update 3:

Updated more links, cleaned up the OP, and moved some players around due to activity. My combo video is almost ready and I welcome others to create their own! I remember someone was talking about making a Zelda social combo video and I wonder what happened to it. To answer you Downdraft, it's because of the size of the videos loaded via URL. If you double click any Gfycat it will enlarge or shrink to fit your screen.

A Zelda social combo video would be awesome, and at the same time gives me an idea.;)

Good morning lads and ladies. So, now that this thread has been stickied I want to give it a pretty serious overhaul. I'm not exactly sure which direction I want to go but it will lead to a cleaning up of the OP and a redirect of the energy here.

Things that will stay consistent:
1) You will still show us your swagger so get as much stream time as possible. Invest in a recording device (elgato HD is what I use) and start compiling footage!
2) I still want to see Gfycat's of your favorite moments so keep em coming. I have seen quite a few recently on the sub reddit and I want to make sure they get cross posted here! Share the link to this thread in other social medias so Zelda's know it exists and don't be shy.

Things that will be changing:
1) If you you have vods of your Zelda combos post em here. If we have the raw footage it will be much easier to collect and compile it for the Zelda social combo video and future projects.
2) Assignments: I will be handing out mini competitions/homework/recording assignments over the coming weeks to push people to "site their sources." I think these assignments will be fun and inclusive to newer players.

With that said...

Assignment One: Lens of True Combos
1) Go to training mode and turn the help option on
2) Record a combo with at least three consecutive hits and post the footage here
3) These have to be true combos but they don't have to be against human opponents
4) Your combo can be against any character and they can be at any percent at the start of the combo
5) You may submit multiple entries but try not to post combos that are identical to ones already posted

I need to get my own recording setup. The primary streamer here has been super busy, so all of my stupid ridiculous combos have not been recorded

Finally got on stream again after a long hiatus, and did very well! Had several great moments which I made into gfycats. While some of them are entirely as Sheik, I think they are relevant since I am playing Sheilda in my matches and every Zelda should learn a little bit of Sheik in case they accidentally switch or find a matchup unwinnable as the more graceful half. I'll label them so you can skip the Sheik ones if you really want.

I'll submit my personal favorite punish against a character rarely used in pm (although it will work against every character). I wanted to make my own thread detailing more of these punish options, but screw it :p
