Once again, Special Brawl. Play with your friends. Fast will help you to recover, and heavy. Flower will help... almost nothing... but clear teaches prediction, metal teaches patience on killing a heavier foe, and Fire teacher you approaching and combos.

Or, what teaches you all of those better, is a standard 1v1.

While all of these special Brawls seem like they would help on paper, they only encourage different bad habits. Fast would encourage even more rolldodging because it's so fast, it's hard to punish. Clear would encourage stupid approaches and "combos" that wouldn't work on someone in an actual Brawl, because in clear the person you're fighting probably isn't playing super close attention. Heavy screws up a ton of character's short hop ANYTHINGs (and fast does crap with tech skill for some characters, too). Metal just encourages getting hit unnecessarily because you can't die, along with spamming kill moves for damage, and still messes with short hops and the like. And Fire helping approach? Lol...

Doing a regular 1v1 or 2v2 for doubles is going to be your best practice.

If you're a skilled player, play other skilled players. Smashfests are great for that.

The only thing CPUs have on human players is their footstool ability. lol never knew why
