Hi I'm godsmith2 and I'll be making an attempt to organize a series of tournies (because It's easier that way) probably comprised of 16 people with substitutes (these online tournies are notorious for people not showing up) maybe I'll have a 32 person one in the future. These tournies will be held at least once a month, maybe more, and will always be on weekends. I am also thinking about having some sort of ranking feature so I can crown a 2008 Online Brawler of the Year.

Rules

Best 2 out of 3
All matches will be 3 stock 8 minutes (except the finals which are 5 stock no time limit)
All Neutral stages are allowed
Players will agree on their time/date for their match with their opponent
No items, including smashballs
Results of your matches will be posted here
If you want to enter put your friend code and character you expect to be using
If your opponent isn't going to show we'll have a few substitutes just in case.
As a result of Ridiculous-Manliness Captain Falcon is banned in this tourny (jk)

This is just a suggestion, but I think one match isn't enough to decide a winner for each round, I think it should at least be the best out of three. Most tourneys use that rule of thumb and it seems to work well.

If you do it over 2 weekends then it would be possible to have games during the week also for anyone able to fight then. It should get this done faster and more efficiently. Unless you want to keep this strictly during the weekends. I just thought that some people may be unable to during the weekend so it might be easier to split it through both.
