We have had this date set for this tournament in Seattle since October. So all those other tournament with the same date that have recently got set... Thanks for doing some homework and setting yours on the same date.
I am sure we will both appreciate it with the split attendance...because we know Washington Smashers travel more then anyone...and chances are they are staying in Seattle for this one...

So we have changed the date to one week earlier to give us a bit more space between Genesis and us.

TourneyPlay.net is the largest tournament organization in WA, OR and possibly NorCal.

Wow guys chill out lol

Last Tourneyplay, we hosted a free Mario Kart: Wii tournament if you entered in all 4 events (Brawl and Melee 1v1, 2v2). You didn't even have to stay or anything for the MK tournament, it was "free" and for fun.

That's what he means by possible 3rd game :)

yeah, the side tournament didn't detract from the main events at all, I can assure you guys that.

Everything went pretty smoothly, I can assure OOS'ers that Gameclucks knows how to host tourneys. :D

"because we know Washington Smashers travel more then anyone"

This made me rofl. But all jokes aside this looks like a good warmup for Genesis, so I'll highly consider attending.

that's a dumb way to hype a tournament now because mango proved m2k can't sniff mango's jock

Find a venue fast! It's hard to be hyped for a tourney when you don't know where it is yet.

We have a fallback venue if we can't find one, which is Gameclucks. If it comes down to it, were not gonna cancel, were gonna switch it to GC. We're looking for a high profile venue like a mall or something. So everyone should just plan on coming and have faith that our standard venue won't explode at random.

Putting the best brawl player and the best melee player in the title, regardless of gap, doesn't sound like a dumb way to hype a tournament at all.

not dumb, but intellectually dishonest in the very least

"Mango and M2K confirmed" speaks for itself and doesn't imply the desperation that a "Mango v M2K 2.0 Rematch!" does

just saying. i'ma probably come regardless
