1.Distant Planet-love the bulborb
2.New Pork City-big stages FTW
3.Spear Pillar-only saw one screenshot but it looked like it had a great layout
4.Lylat Cruise-The background is awesome
5.Frigate Orpheon-Has a pretty good layout, and I love the MP theme.

i prefer these stages because they feel the most neutral and they have little to no random factors in them:

1. Battlefield - they fixed the edge quite a bit, boundaries are just right, like it a lot
2. Lylat Cruise - no stage hazards, interesting platforms, decent boundaries, edge a bit annoying
3. Final Destination - great stage as usual, except you can't ride the edge with some characters because you get stuck under it
4. New Yoshi's Story - platform moves a bit, nothing to fret about though. Boundaries are a bit small. Cloud is fine
5. Smashville - moving platform can shift the focus of the battle a little bit granting some cheap kills, but overall a pretty neutral stage.

most other stages have a lot of annoying things about them that make me want to not play them but shadow moses island, the frigate orpheon, luigi's mansion and the bridge of eldin are ok

It's incredibly hard to pick just 5.

In no order because they all bring something different:

Luigi's Mansion: The stage layout is something different ( with 3 floors). I like how this stage is destructable and the music for it is also a plus....though I REALLY hope the mansion rebuilds itself after sometime or this might drop out of my top 5.

Final Destination: Epic background and Epic soundtrack = Win

Wario Ware: I like the random mini games that they have, puts a nice twist to the battle.

Delfino Plaza: It's neat how you go from one spot to the other as if your touring the place. And the background is really cool.

Skyworld: Again I love how the stage is destructable. The music is one of my favorites ( very catchy). And the background is nice as well.

Ive been playing this game for about 2 weeks b4 its release in japan and me chillin chu and azen all agreed that those are the neutrals because the other stages are mad ghey lol. But yea watch some of our vids search for dav3 vs chu or something.

1. The Halberd (Its just so in depth its crazy, you fly around the entire halberd, so much is happening while you fight, its fantastic!) (Plus, this stage has Gourmet Race, the Metal Remix. Also Called "Dragonforce Kirby".

1. Warioware - no contest, this stage is brilliant. A game within a game!
2. Pictochat - if just because of the cuteness factor or the music set, I like this a lot.
3. Great Sea - It's just...different and interesting. The music is mostly relaxing too.
4. Mario Kart - It just works really well, and has a different feel to the usual stage layout.
5. Norfair - Probably the best 'dangerous liquid rising above platforms in a metroidy environment' stage to date. The platform layout encourages aerial combat and it's very intense to battle on with the magma sprays and waves.

Lets see, lets give descriptions because otherwise its just a "list topic" OK, here are mine:

1.Lylat Cruise : surprisingly its not something special but the graphics...OH MY!!! the asteroids and so many phases that make you feel you are really flying across Lylat is awesome!!!!! <33

2.Green Hill Zone: Okay this one looks plain boring but its a Sonic stage (YAY!) the checlpoint thingy is pretty original, the floor destructs sometimes in unpredictable moments, and what else Silver, Tails and Knux make a cameo what else do you want?! xD

3.Summit: The Icicle mountain was a nightmare but this is one of the best stages!!!! just think of it, its slippy, you suddenly start dashing thorugh the snow LOL!!! at highspeeds and in a diagonal way, not like F-Zero stage that moves but you are basically not moving, you get to the bottom full of water!!!! suddenly a bear starts to sink you and an extra if you get to the bottom a huge fish can eat you!!!! talk about action!!

4.Norfair: Okay I know I know this is the OH SO BORING METROID STAGE, even though its the same Planet Zebes, Brinstar Depths, lava rising level its still so fun to play but this is much better well Yellow acid was ok, but this lava red hot color looks more dangerous, and now just doesnt flow, it flows from the sides, and the best part from the background to the front, and its like the battle for the Smash ball but you battle for a safe spot how sweet is that? ^^

5.This one is difficult its beetween Halberd and Shadow Moses, but just cus Halberd is like Lylat cruise with an extra beam, Ill choose Shadow Moses, first if you are Snake you get a codec conversation!!!!!!!! thats always funny as hell, then you enter the stage that is fully destructible, plus you get those "!" lights that can catch you, and the best part the background explodes and appears a METAL GEAR!!! ^_^ so there you have it

1. Luigi's Mansion :: It looks really fun. And the destructibility seems slightly more game changing than Skyworld, in a good way.
2. Smashville :: A neutral stage with a good theme. So much cooler than Battlefield or Final Destination.
3. Great Sea :: The tornado bits look crazy fun.
4. Pokemon Stadium 2 :: Cause I love Pokemon Stadium 1 and this one looks just as fun, if not more so.
5. Delfino Plaza :: I'm not really sure why. I just like it. All the different locations seem pretty cool.
