Another match for you Sasuke. It's against Ganondorf. It's funny.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5hljcOCy7c
Someone wanted the warlock punch bad.

Your projectile play has more quantity than quality. Try to mix it up a bit more so he doesn't keep blocking your projectiles due to prediction. There was a lot of projectile play, and against Ganon, that's fine, but I didn't notice a lot of kills till after 200%. Maybe a little work on landing some kills would definitely be a major plus.

Well.... I didn't ask for a critique but whatever. I just uploaded this for the LoLz. I don't normally spam this much. I just spam Ganon simply because he's a huge target, and because i'm going against Jugmo (he hates TLs). I know I have to work on my bomb usage (I tend to waste them a lot). Whatever, thanks for the critique anyways.

Here's another Ganondorf match w/ commentary. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWi5gH34w4s You guys don't have to critique it.

lol this was cute.
You need work in just about everything

http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=228712

Learn to use other attacks and learn some AT. You definitely need to use your shield don't roll dodge as much. use more bairs instead of arrows
Watch some other toonlinks play and pick up on what they do.
you have more projectiles than 1 I didn't see the rest of it but you definitely need to read on the link above.

In case you guys can't tell, that match was very laggy.
The motions made it obvious.

Now please be less rude.

Yeah, the WiFi needs to be taken into account here. I dunno much about WiFi, so I'm not saying anything.

That is not constructive criticism. To me, that rubs off as rude. Be direct. Tell them one thing they have to work on first. People don't learn if people are forced to learn a million things at a time.

Also, people should avoid putting up online matches for critiquing. Too much room for error on both sides.

This seemed very rude to me.
But whatever, forget it.

Just be cool and be nice to the other TLs, they go through the same pains you do. <3

Yeah ur not gonna magically make them lrn by being rude to them :/. Instead u point out what they are doing wrong so that they can correct that stuff. Also, I agree with the wifi thing. Wifi says nothing. So please, unless u had a lagless connection dont post it for critiques. :/

Sasuke, I think you should write in the instructions to mention if the submitted video should be critiqued or not. Then, if they request a critique, you should write the word CRITIQUE next to the link. Just to avoid confusion.

More clips. Oh and guys, if you have the time, instead of writing me a critique, write my opponent one. He's asking for some. Anyways, here are the clips.

Sonic:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5hljcOCy7c
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7MlCcXGWoQ
The first video I already saw, and I was going to do just Sonic, but I figure since you lost against him, I'd point some things out for the both of you.

TWiNKatGC: The lack of projectiles is what got you. Sonic is fast, but he's not fast when a million projectiles are in his way. A simple smash boomerang forward does so much against Sonic, since he has to slow down even when the boomerang is coming back. That being said, with more Sonic experience, you can judge the distance of his neutral B, which is his next fastest alternative. I've only played a handful of decent Sonics, and it takes a lot of effort to grab one. The only time I have was the zair -> grab combo. Everything else, they literally ran away from my grabs, and some of my swordplay which you experienced as well. Ibombing is a good idea, if he gets in close. In terms of the end of your last stock, dairing to DI is a bad idea. Maybe not intentional, but it's just a thing to point out.

ElDom: I don't know all the mechanics of Sonic and how he's played, but I did notice a lot of hyphen up smashes, and not a lot of forward/down B. I know it's hard when Toon Link's spam, but keep in mind when you dash, you can shield basically at any point in time. So block the arrows, and try to power block the boomerang, so you don't have to wait for it to return. Just keep your distance and be patient. Dash and shield around and wait for him to slip, then go at him.

what's with the huge difference between 1st and 2nd stock? lol It's like you suicide and just kinda said blargh, and went all craze mode.

and I'm still not seeing why Ledge Hop Uair would be useful O_o

I might get more into depth than this tommorow. But those are the two things that popped up when I watched it.

edit: or it seemed like you kicked it into a whole other gear 2nd stock when I first watched it. I'unno it was pretty good all around, just. 2nd stock was beast.

My finger slipped. I know it was the appropriate thing to do at the time, though.
Then I just got mad at killing myself (because this isn't' the first time it's happened when I've had a solid lead) , and made up for it. ._.

Why does my match vs Boss say Mario? I am clearly fighting is his brother. Lay off the crack kids.
I lol'd. I was going to critique it, but honestly, I don't think it would be right for me to preach something that I don't even practice myself. There was one maybe two random UpBs, but I assume that was just little errors.

*Now training to be as good*

Edit: Here's me playing friendlies with a good friend of mine. You'll notice that I make a lot of mistakes and generally I lose/ keep it close. Experimental johns I guess, since I want to incorporate different things into my play style. I keep forgetting that:
A. working on one thing at a time is best
and B. actually use the technique you want to incorporate.

Right now I'm trying to use SHFF arrows more, but I throw in a lot of other stuff that isn't in my playstyle quite yet. I still suck at recoveries however...

I watched your first two vids. In your match on battlefield, you could have been killed easily off stage. If the marth would have up B'd correctly, he could have had easy stage spike gimps. Also, I dont remember seeing many arrow cancels from you. Those will slow marth down alot. Other than that, good job. You seem to have the basics down.

My Toon Link vs. Mr. Doom's Ike. It's one of the vids I have on the OP, but I'd like to have it critiqued please.
For your first two stocks, not many projectiles were used. You are not Marth, you are Toon Link. His first stock should have been cake. A simple zair regrab would have finished him. Your defensive game is the number one thing you have to fix. I counted 3 shields, where you only blocked one attack, 8 rolls, and 4 air dodges. Your defensive game should include retreating spam and zairs. You were constantly trying to go toe to toe with him. Toon Links don't fight like that.

I don't believe those should be critiqued if I'm experimenting.

Sorry for the double post. Wasn't thinking...

You weren't playing very defensive. I just saw you make a lot of stupid mistakes, like missing most of your grabs (you landed one at the end though), and just moving to the wrong place at the wrong time. You have to learn how to read your opponents better.

I didn't notice many projectile AT's like quickdraws and iBombs. You should try to experiment with them, since that's pretty much what TLs do best. SHDAs would help a lot. On the bright side, I see you have a well dressed Toon Link. ^_^

you really shouldn't go for grabs just like that, it just leads you into trouble, although i didnt see any projectile game in the beggining because with that stage you should have the advantage for it. try more Nairs and quickdraws( its quick and quickdraws would also outcamp ike too) Ike would mostly approach with Fairs if your that close to him use shorthop air dodges then Zair. Zairs would keep his distance away from you so you continue camping him. if you have him off stage quickly gimp him with projectiles like boomerang or bombs, but if hes ready for a up special(aether) dont bother( he wont be effected ) if he has you off stage then use bombs
hope this helps ?

Wow, I got a lot of feedback on this. Thank you!

Yeah, I went back and looked over the match myself after reading these and saw what you guys were talking about. I wasn't using my projectiles either at all or efficiently at most points in the match, and I ran into a bunch of stupid, telegraphed stuff. I went for too many grabs, even now I still dunno why, and I didn't use Zair but once.

I'll try to incorporate these tips into my future matches. I have a tournament Saturday, where all the matches will be recorded. I'll post them up here for review once they're up.

Thanks again, guys! I really appreciate all the tips!

Oh, and yeah, purple is too beast, TWiNKatGC.
