See this is what really gets me. Prepubescent, you assume you know how old all of us are.... do you know what prepubescent means? Look it up. Anyway, Goroh has background, he has depth, there are ways to branch his character into something worthwhile. deathborn is generic, I mean look at him, his character design alone is the most generic thing about him.

That's your big ****ing argument? The definition of the word? Make your unlawful claims somewhere else as you have proven your distaste for this character, we don't need to argue this over and over, just leave.

My lord, you never cease to amuse me - You're the one who said "look it up," numbnuts... And it's not an argument, it's simply taking a jab at your lack of maturity. You all feel the need to flame me over that one little comment, it's really sad if you ask me. At any rate I have better things to do than to continue arguing with you little Nook-Nazis... Go ahead and have you're racoony (or tanuki-ish if you want to be specific) fun.

At any rate, the only reason I started this argument in the first place was to debunk the assertion that anybody could be in SSB, but somewhere along the line you guys turn it into a Tom Nook defense. At any rate, go on about your merry way and continue discussing the greatness of Tom Nook (which is still well beyond me it seems...). ~Deathborn

And by all means have your ****** fun, I don't care - you're the guys that keep draging this argument on... ~Deathborn

I provided links, but I meant the franchise as a whole... At any rate I'm through with this debate. Carry on ~Deathborn

If you are through with the ****ing debate then leave, it's everyone here v.s you, yet you keep coming back. It's like YOU are the immature, prepubescent one, coming back after each and every post, time after time, vying for responses and attention, dude, get over it. And your overall lack of ability to grasp the english language is beyond me, you have made more grammatical and spelling errors then a 10 year old.

JUST.

****ING.

LEAVE.

OK... rather than end this on a bad note, I will try to the best of my ability to offer the olive branch. First of all, I apoligize for some of the comments earlier. Secondly, I just want to clarify that what I was originally defending was not an anti-Nook stance, but more the point why I don't support such characters based on what I earlier called "combaive potential" but would probably be better described as "proven or implied (from a given character's profession/description, the nature of their respective game, etc.) experience to qualify for a fighting game," as Super Smash Brothers IS a fighting game... Granted it's not an absolute in the SSB formula, but I believe it provides some good guidelines as to just who makes the cut - and from what I could gather ALL charachter up to this point have demonstated this factor to atleast SOME degree. Of course there are many factors to consider when deciding which character to include - some of which Nook passes with flying colors, such a character recognizability - but still, I strongly believe that they must exhibit atleast moderately strong evidence that they "have what it takes" so to speak. Hopefully that somewhat better clarifies my position on this matter. At the very least we can atleast agree to disagree in regard to this subject...

I've got way more cartoony drawings of various other characters, I'll PM you some. And I'm open to suggestions. However most are not colored.

Um, xianfeng? I believe he wanted to stop that argument. It's best for everyone if you just let it die.

Alright, while I more or less admit defeat in the Tom Nook for Brawl argument, I just felt the need to point something out to xiangfeng:

Not to say that Nook can't be the latter, but just being seen choppin' wood in the game is not very good evidence to support that...

But now I think about, Tom Nook could go backwoods Canadian or something. "Lumberjack Song" anyone?

what that picture doesn't show is that 5 seconds later a plumber tries to kidnap the kid and gets his leg cut off. The kid kicks him in the nuts for good measure and continues to chop his firewood.

lol. j/k and all. but yea

Nook = gimli in the above post

Tom Nooks a Tanuki, which in turn, makes him win.
Just a thought, anybody know about Tanuki's in Japanese culture? Nintendo likes to put culture into their games, and Tanuki's in mythology HAVE fighting experience
fighting with enlarged scrotums
. What if Nook fights like that O.o

Hmm Tom Nook wouldn't be one of the best characters in my opinion to be in Brawl. He just doesn't fit so well. He's not a fighter. Pichu is a pokemon, it's meant to fight. While Tom Nook sells houses... :)

Don't bother trying to convince them that... Believe me I've tried...

And all this talk about tanukis... As far as Japanese folklore is concerned, kitsunes >>> tanukis, IMHO...

The show's okay, but Naruto himself sucks. C'mon... What kind of ninja runs around in an orange jumpsuit?

At any rate, I'm sure Plan 9 wouldn't appreciate it if this thread degenerated into a Naruto debate, so let's get back on topic. Tom Nook FT- Whoops... >.<
