Tips for coming back?

I haven't played brawl in months, and just yesterday I played with some friends and i feel like getting back into it. DDD has always been my main, so are there any new strategies or ways of playing that i should be aware of?

Z-catching is kinda new. Basically, take an item, toss it into the air. When you go to catch it, press the grab/air dodge button just before it touches your characters HANDS and DDD will laglessly grab it. It can be then instantly tossed after word using c-stick iirc
