Metaknight and Kirby seem to be the only two characters that I really have trouble against. Metaknight seems to out prioritize me in just about every way possible. I can beat most of them, but when I play a really skilled one I often find myself losing by more than one stock. I don't even know what it is about Kirby but he just gives me trouble as well.

Any tips?

It's a pretty even match against meta knight. Do not be aggressive vs. him or he will just run all over you, let him approach you and keep him away with your tilts and fairs. Punish any mistakes with dancing blade to rack up damage. MK is light so he can die pretty easily.

As for Kirby. It's the same deal basically. Stay patient and punish like you would against MK.

As for his Kirby grab combos at low percentages, remember to DI out (opposite direction of where Kirby is at) or Dolphin Slash out. Similar to Metaknight, don't try to gimp Kirby so as much as keep some pressure up w/ your ground game.

I usually wait for the MK to make the first move. Usually when a MK dodges, he follows up with a d-smash, so i want for that and then punish with a dancing blade or dolphin slash if im close enough. Counter attacking end of the MK's Up B recovery as well, but watch out since he will begin to just simply stop using the last part of it to hit you and just land, making him open. Finally, for the spammable tornado, if the body of the tornado is on you, you can Up+B out of it and send the MK out. It is also counterable if the situation is right.

Metaknight is my main and favorite character, so I'll tell you what marth has that gives me trouble.

Up b out of shield his tornado.

Be carful when shielding. You don't wanna get dash grabbed.

Stay short hopped and well spaced with fair or ftilt.

Punish with dancing blade.

This is what marth players do to give me trouble.
