Sheez... I KNOW about that HRC guide! I just thought that some strategies did not seem to clear, I almost never could do them, so I had to make up my own. I mean really, am I not allowed to make my own HRC guide? And thanks for the peach strat. BTW, I found a non-batdrop combo strat to get marth above 1000. And I got Marth to 2000. And I'm not what you might call an HRC noob either. Please tell me if you think 53xxx.xx feet is not respectable.

Thanks for the DK strat. I don't have my GCN with me since I have a lot of HW, but I'll be sure to try that later. I don't think I've practiced his SJ (single jump) bat drops, so that'll be interesting. I'd also like to see some strats with Zelda since the best I've gotten with her is 1700 ft. The strat was something like this:
1) Start as Sheik (hold A while starting/restarting the minigame).
2) Grab the bat, run to the bag.
3) Up-smash. It should hit twice. Do another one, slightly charged; it should also hit twice and send the bag fairly high, straight up.
4) Transform into Zelda.
5) Do three bat drop ADAs (aerial down-As), grab the bat and tipper.
If you have extra time, charge longer during the up-smashes. Also note that this strat is in SSkeeto's faq (the folderol URL).

The beginning of the strat is pure cheat :D

The only hard thing is the beginning.

1. Grab the bat, dash to the bag
2. Short hop, uair
3. [HARD] bat drop and neutral a WITHOUT rejump
4. 5 singlejump batdrop down a combos
5. hold the stick beetween right and down, then press a. This attack is called angeled down a.
6. Batsmash

Zelda strat time! :chuckle:

Zelda:

Uber beginner:
1: GtBDttB.
2: upsmash.
3: When it lands, jump up and throw the bat up.
4: Fastfall down and use an upsmash.
5: Repeat steps 3-4.
6: Bat smash.
Target: 1000+

Easy:
1: GtBDttB.
2: Jump, throw the bat up, fastfall down, and use an upsmash.
2: Double jump, drop the bat, and use a down-A. You don't have to L-cancel it.
3: Jump, aircatch the bat, jump again, drop the bag, and use a downA.
4: L-cancel, use a down-tilt, pick up the bat, and smash.
Target: 1400+

easy/Hard:
1: GtBDttB.
2: Jump, throw the bat up, fastfall down, and use an upsmash.
2: Double jump, drop the bat, and use a down-A. You don't have to L-cancel it.
3: Jump, aircatch the bat, jump again, drop the bag, and use a downA.
4: Repeat step 3.
5: L-cancel, use a down-tilt, pick up the bat, and smash.
Target: 1700+

hard/easy:
1: GtBDttB.
2: Double tap Y or X(jump button)
3: Press Z twice to air-catch the bat, drop the bat, then use an ADA(aerial down-A)
4: L-cancel.
5: double tap the jump button again, then double tap Z, so you air catch and immediately drop the bat. Now use an ADA. L-cancel it.
6: Repeat 4 times.
7: Use a downtilt, pick up the bat, and smash it.
Target: 1800+

Hard:
1: GtBDttb.
2: Jump. At the peak of your jump, jump again. drop the bat.
3: fastfall down, and right before you land, use an up-A. This is pretty tough, so practice it.
4: 2: Double tap Y or X(jump button)
5: Press Z twice to air-catch the bat, drop the bat, then use an ADA(aerial down-A)
6: L-cancel.
7: double tap the jump button again, then double tap Z, so you air catch and immediately drop the bat. Now use an ADA. L-cancel it.
8: Repeat step 7 three times.
9: Use a downtilt, pick up the bat, and smash it.
Target: 2000+

Let me get this straight: you're saying to run to the bag before starting the first bat drop? I would think it'd be a lot faster to jump at the bag after grabbing the bat. I didn't think to double-jump that first BD AUA though; I suppose my doing a single jump was slowing down the strat because I had to slowfall it. I was also working on the rest of that strat before you posted it, though I didn't have much time to practice the JJCs (jump-jump-catch bat drops). Oh, and between steps 4 and 5 you forgot to mention recatching the bat.

Also, does Zelda get extra horizontal distance from dash jumps? It'd be useful for spending less time turning around and getting to the bag at the start.

Addressing your first point:

1: It is pretty hard.
2: It doesn't actually save you that much time, because when you dash and then double jump, you can save some time by jumping before the peak of the jump/

And I fixed my mistake. Oh! Roy to 3000! :chuckle: My score is slowly climbing up! :) 56xxx.xx total.

I'm back. >_>

2k Marth isn't much, really. Sort of an early-inter score; of course, I guess that fits you. Go to the 3rd link I posted. Maybe make a GFaqs account, if you want. (I have one, and I'm in that topic.)

The WR for No Bat Drops Marth is around 1.8k, I think.

Zelda Strat:
1. Hold A to start as Sheik.
2. Do two minimally charged, 2 hit up-smashes.
3. Transform.
4. As many btu-u-smashes or bd d-airs as you can. (Not very specific, but meh)
5. (D-tilt) Tipper.

And dash-djs stop horizontal motion.

...look. I don't pretend to be the best, and for me, 2000 with marth is a good score. Pleast keep in mind that this minigame is not my life. And your Zelda strat is a bit vague. If you could specify how many BDCs are needed, and if you could specify the yeild(preferably in feet), I'll put it in.

Sorry if it seemed I was insulting you, I was only trying to clear something up. Just forget it.

As for the Zelda strat, 3 bds and a d-tilt is easy, and 4 bds close hit is tough, but doable. The first will get you around 1.7 or 1.8k, while the 2nd will get just below 2k.

Man, with all of these different strategies and what-not, I want to play smash really bad! Why did I have to let my friend borrow it?! Oh, my highest is about 1600 or so, either Yoshi or Mario, I can't remember. Wow... I suck!

I guess you misunderstood me. When I said "I found a way to get marth to 1000 feet with no bat-drops" I was referring to my uber beginner section, which is the bare minimum of 1000 with all chars without useing bat drops.

Oh! RAvenlord got me a link to this:
over 3000 feet with SHEIK ONLY! He didn't change back to Zelda to smash the bat.

Tipo mastr: I got 1.6k Kirby by doing an up-smash before 4 bat drop ADAs (with l-cancels). The bag landed on its side though, so I'm pretty sure I got a close hit.

1.45 to 1.6k Link/Y.Link:
- Do a bat drop AUA on the bag's left. It doesn't matter whether you double or single jump because this is a relatively easy strat.
- Land, jump, midair catch and do another bat drop AUA on the bag's right.
- Jump, catch the bat, land and smash throw the bat left (hitting the bag). It will fly off the stage and bounce off the back wall while you're doing the following. The only annoying part is that those bat drops can do different amounts of damage depending on when AUA hits, and it's possible for the bag to go too quickly and fly past you, or not make it back onto the platform at all. AUA does the most damage when you connect when it's just coming out, so hit slightly after that for this strat. If that doesn't work then just play around with it until it does; bat drops always were more of a feel thing with me o.o;
- OK, it's flying to the left. Grab the bat with A, then smash Right+B (boomerang). The bag should be flying back now. Hit it with a forward A tilt before it flies past you - connect with the tip of the bat or it won't stop the bag's momentum. I'm told the dash attack also works.
- Walk left past the bag. The boomerang should be coming back now. When it's pretty close but before it hits the bag, smash throw the bat right so it hits right before the boomerang does. If you timed it right, the boomerang will stop the bag from moving. (It's fun to do!)
- Press A to grab the bat, get in tipper position if you have time (or get there during the previous step and hope you can reach the bat or it doesn't disappear), and swing.

Yes!!

Luigi center hit batsmash @ 204%! 3033.1 feet! The funny thing is that first I got 2991.9, and then the next try I got the 3000! lol! My trick was to make it so there was more distance between me and the bat when doing ym BDADACs, so it magically does more damage. BTW, you can also do this with capt.falcon, DK and ganondork. Kudos for Ravenlord for asking me if I spaced my capt. falcon BDCs. That gave me the idea to space my luigi BDCs.

Oh, Thx a lot for the link strat. :)

No prob.
So that's what spaced bat drops are! I thought it was when you delayed the hit slightly so the bag would go closer to the edge of the platform by the end of the strat. I'll have to try this some time and see if I can get closer to the OV limit (with Ganondorf) than 4530 ft.
