Ledgehogging was rather boring and anti-climactic. It's much more fun to watch someone get launched into the blastzones rather than like

1. Nair/Shine
2. Nair/Shine their 2nd jump
3. Grab ledge
4. ???
5. Profit!


Though un-related but I'm mildly displeased that certain amiibos when summoned in Smash 4 for editing, they perform one of their idle animations rather then their actual taunts. I've found that both Charizard and Robin fall victim to this and I was disappointed. Robin doesn't do a cool pose or the magic spinning things, Robin just calmly flicks the sword in the air while doing the D-taunt line. It would be interesting if you could customize what animation/taunt an amiibo would use but oh well.

I haven't beaten FE7 yet, but I have to say that Lyn is my favorite lord in the series... or second favorite if you count Robin. She's a pretty awesome character all things considered.
I would play the hell out of her as well.

I still wonder what's taking the PM team so long to reveal those leaked characters.

I bet they are punishing us because they were leaked.
I also want to know if those 64 costumes are legit.

I don't miss the old crappy ledge mechanics.
You know what's painful? When you are helpless and some douche grabs the ledge before you do, so you fall to your death.
The new mechanics give me a fighting chance at least and adds more strategy.

So somebody mixed the shop theme with Jet Set Radio's Humming The Baseline. They call this wonderful tune Splatting The Baseline.

On one hand, ledge play has a bit more strategy to it now, and since edge hogging is gone, people are more encouraged to gimp people in other ways.
But there's no denying that the old ledge mechanics helped the matches go by faster, and time is a big problem with Sm4sh right now. And it's not like edge hogging was brainless either, you needed to know when and how to grab the ledge correctly.
So as you can tell i'm kinda mixed.

Today's Learning Target: We will be able to understand Robin's edgeguarding techniques/set-ups and how to apply them in actual matches by watching and discussing a video where @ Raziek success implements those technique against The_Cardinal and bodies him for it.

In all seriousness, thank you for the honest feedback. And if posting my matches on the boards, even the ones where I lost horrendously in, help everyone learn, especially me, I am fine with that.

I do feel that I eventually did realize some of my mistakes with positioning, especially since I was noticing that I was putting myself near the ledge a lot, the Smash equivalent of being in a corner in a traditional 2D fighting game. I also did try to mimic your use of elwind later on but my application of it was often off. I also learned (amongst many other things) through our matches that edgeguarde elthunder is not so much about the actual hit but the resulting set-up. Will try make to incorporate that into my training and matches, along with trumping, elwind mix-ups, and most importantly, being more mindful of my positioning (though I feel that last one will be the hardest to improve on but that's fine).

Perhaps I am getting the wrong impression of your work but I feel that two possible texts that may be of interest to you (assuming of course you haven't read them already) are Jeremiah 20:7-18 and 1 Corinthians 4:6-13. Naturally, your decision of what to do or not do with these texts are up to you but I thought I'd share them because they were some of the first things that popped into my mind after I read your poem

Interesting verses, and thanks for bringing them up! Truth be told, I wasn't citing from any verse or text in particular, and I'm not a religious individual by nature - like any good, honest writer, I merely find the Bible a great source of inspiration from which to crib ideas and thematic content. Although the poem isn't actually a critique or pastiche of the Bible per se, there's definitely a spiritual motif to it.
