:4littlemac: and :4shulk:(Smash mode) can do it quickly at a low percentage.
I'm talking about doing the counter off-stage, though. If Mac uses his counter off-stage, he's never getting back on the stage, which rather defeats the purpose.
Will need to test again for Shulk, but I never got it to work with him.
Edit: just about works for Shulk, too, but the timing is much stricter than with other characters.
Edit 2: works with Greninja as well if you aim correctly, though he can also just use Up-B and make the PK Thunder miss entirely :p

Hell if I know, everyone's level 7 and I'm getting poop in terms of cash and EXP.
Your damage output is **** at the very beginning of the game and grinding doesn't go well until like chapter 2 or so. The boss fight with the black mage guy is kinda just a slow chip away at his HP battle. With Edea doing most of the damage.

Brainded character. Scrubs give him a bad rep. Still a good character.
If PK Fire didn't exist scrubs wouldn't do that brainded PK Fire → down throw → FAir.
Why is Ness so linear.

I had such a bad habit of using PK Fire lel.
I'm still not great with Ness as I've only been playing him for 2 months. And he's already my 8th most played.

The last major main event I did was defeating Ramuh. Right now, I'm just farming for poetics for some nifty armor and clearing those books for my anima weapon. And yes, I did some of the CT missions, just need World of Darkness to do.
I really wouldn't bother investing too much time in the relic at this point...

You've got 75 Alexandrites (and probably several hundred thousand gil at least worth of Materia), 2,000 Lights, 400,000 Gil, 80,000 Company Seals, 6,400 Soldieries, 16 Dungeon Treasures (which are not guaranteed drops) and another 2,400 Soldieries and a few dozen lights to go be fore you max it out.

As for Bravely Default:

I'm currently running everybody as Freelancer, though Agnés has white magic. So I guess It's just a slow chip? Alright.

I was so happy that Ness was finally good in this game, then so sad when he ended up being a super easy character. I always loved how Ness was the weird, hard to use character, and wished learning to use him right would pay off more. Really looking forward to Lucas though, I think he has most of what I like about Ness without basically everything I dislike. Plus that up smash.

I like Ness as a character, but he is just a pain and a chore to fight against.
I hate fighting Ness, Rosalina, and Mega Man the most.
Ganondorf can be bad too, especially in laggy conditions where he has the side B of gods.

It was pretty much the opposite for me. It took me a lot of time to get decent with Ness in Smash 4 and I'm still no where near as good as other Ness mains.
Omg though. I have such a hard time playing as him in Melee it's almost frustrating.

Ness is a great character. He just happens to be the bane of my competitive existence.

My brother plays an amazing Ness, the best I've ever seen, and he will tell you that a good Ness doesn't need to use PK Fire / f-air / b-throw to win. I can count on one hand the amount of times he uses PK Fire in a whole set, and yet the **** he can do with his PK Thunder is terrifying. For reasons I've already outlined in the Pit social, I think Ness is easily one of Pit's toughest matchups, if not the toughest. He's anything but braindead in high-level play: you either know how to play Ness well or you don't. There is no grey area. I have a lot of respect for people who can play Ness to that degree and not have to rely on jank combos.

That and, in his own words, he's served his penance over the past three games. When you stick with a low tier character for that long, irrespective of how they fare competitively, you're entitled to have your fun when they finally turn out to be viable.

I got pretty good at him, but I dropped him because he seemed to rely a bit too much on repetitive combos to succeed. Plus I felt like a jerk every time I used that back throw, and yet, as though possessed by the spirit of douchebag Ness, I couldn't help but up taunt it every time.

You're not running anyone as a monk or white mage? Monks at this early point of the game is your highest damage dealing class while white mage has high mag def.

Once again, I lose to Lucario's bull**** character gimmick.

This ****ing character. Option-selecting fatal command grab or cross-stage projectile.

I'm so sick of losing to this nonsense.

Ness is a well designed character. Personally, the only thing I can't stand about him is that he's DON'T GET GRABBED: ICE CLIMBERS REDUX. Besides his bthrow, I don't mind him at all. Fighting a high level Ness is one of my favorite matchups for both Shulk and Zelda.

Lucario's mechanic is honestly just a poorly designed mechanic that started with a poor concept in the first place.

But run it back! You can do it!

Okay I kinda feel less of a jerk for getting salty at Lucario's Aura gimmick when a competent player criticises it.

Preachin' to the choir there, hon.

Aside from :4ness:, my most dreaded matchups would be :rosalina: and :4olimar:.

Realtalk (possibly controversial?): high-tier characters are incredibly dull to play against. At least if theyr'e rehashing the same old combos ad infinitum; I don't mind fighting them if they have a bit more complexity to them, in fact I relish the challenge.

Like others have said, I'd be fine with Ness if the end of every match didn't devolve into avoiding the grab. The back throw is really the only problem I have with him.

I really hate fighting :4sonic:, :4ness:, and :rosalina:, which is kind of ironic since I'm a Rosalina secondary and used to play Ness too(please don't let this mean I'm going to end up playing Sonic). I'd probably hate :4olimar: too if I ever really fought any outside of the occasional for glory match.

Ness trained under brawl ice climbers cause he got mad of being gate keep by giant monkeys and pretty boy blue haired prince and the grab button for a few years so now that grab releases and chaingrab are gone and swords are nerfed Ness gets to shine along with the Mario brothers.

Maybe I just haven't fought a really good one, but I actually like fighting :4sheik: outside of needles (I'm supposed to be the camper here, I should be outzoning you, not the other way around).

But yeah, in terms of high-tiers I hate fighting, it's gotta be :4sonic:. I cry a little on the inside when my opponent uses the "you're too slow!" taunt, because it's so true.

It's worth the sacrifice especially if you can pull it off, Wall Jump and get on the stage or if you both a stock each

DK with Dong Cyclone is a pain in the *** with Pikachu. We destroy DK in default, but in customs it's... I dunno.
Ness mains should use BAir and NAir OoS more. Most grabs come out in frame 6; Ness' NAir comes out in frame 5.

Fighting against Lucarios is one of the few things that I hate playing online... That gimmick... You need to kill him early or he will start to punish you in horrible ways.

Lucario is an absolute monster. He's one of the characters I fear fighting the most. Which sucks because Lucario was one of my mains in Brawl, and I was really happy with his moveset changes in Sm4sh. But that aura crap makes me not want to play him, since I feel like such a cheap a-hole. What's weird though is that I rarely come across Lucario's on FG. In any case I think "The Aura" could use a significant nerf. (Although it does make Lucario perfect for 9.0 Classic runs)

I've hated Olimar ever since Brawl. Tbh whenever I'm playing an Olimar as Zelda I'm just like

In the words of someone describing when to use Zelda's palettes:
CPU 3 said:
Trash Purple: When you're fighting Olimar and there is no hope.
