Yeah, thanks for the matches. They were fun. You might want to lay off the dairs though. To be blunt, its a bad move and it actually cost you a few matches.

While it is true you could incorporate both (El)thunders and nairs more into your gameplay, let's clarify something just in case. If you think you lost the zoning war because of lack of (El)thunders on your part, then you misdiagnosed the problem. The ONLY reason why I won the zoning war was because I was using Speed thunder and I would never, in my life, use regular thunder (as in the 1st stage of the spell) so often with default Thunder. Hope this helps a bit.

Some of us did think that about Thunder+ in the very early days of Smash 4 (like 3DS early). However, most of us have now changed our opinions and have either opted for Speed Thunder or remained with default Thunder. At the very least, it's pretty clear that if you HAD to pick a custom to use, it'd be Speed Thunder followed by Firewall for very specific match-ups.

Thunder+ might still be good in teams though but that is an area I have 0 experience in.

Ayy, sorry for the late reply. I've been a part of the Ranking Staff for a while, we just recently got a banner, I even more recently earned mine. I'm not sure exactly how to be a part of the staff but I'm sure you can contact Neo Zero or Loucan about it.

Nope, that's pretty much the strat. You don't HAVE to kill him in order to get the other Kishuna chapters, if that's what you're gunning for.

You only have to kill him in 19x as a requisite for getting 19xx.

Found the artist. It's just those four for now. Although Samus is depicted as a Knight/General, there's one of Samus as a Wyvern Rider.

It's cool that they are bringing the Smash FE crew in the game, I just hope to see more. I am a massive sucker for crossovers.

The thought of Ganondorf and his army fighting against an army in FE (such as Chrom's Shepherds) is actually pretty hype. I just hope that the King of Evil would be a formidable adversary.

I've tried to get used to using the Chargers, but they don't fit my playstyle all that well since I like going more on the front lines inking the new turf or covering over the enemy turf. The Chargers to me feel like you need to stay more behind and focus on holding an area down and sniping anyone who tries to get on your turf. I think it's more of a defensive weapon.

The Chargers are fun, but I'm more used to the .52 Cal since it deals a good amount of damage and can still cover an okay amount of turf

I used to think it was weird that people who don't even play Robin spend so much time in the Robin Social thread.

Then I looked around at the other social threads and with only a few exceptions they're either really slow, or in a few unfortunate cases outright hostile to people. (The Zelda thread seems to be one of the major exceptions, and their thread seems somewhat more oriented on being somewhat wacky/random in humor, with bits of 'exaggerated sass' mixed in.)

Then I noticed we apparently don't have a problem with the non-Robins hanging out here, and it kind of made sense.

Just an idle observation.

Little late to the convo but as a Pika main this rings a chord with me, so I figured I'd drop my two cents in.

Essentially, I originally stayed near-exclusively in the Brawl Pika social, the PGD. After Smash 4 came out, the PGD lost its momentum. I ended up effectively homeless, partly because much of the old guard has now moved on from Smash entirely, and the new guard is focused on competitive aspects that I, as a scrub, really can't weigh in on effectively. It runs fairly deep, too; I actually fired up a dedicated social thread in there not too long ago and while there is some occasional activity it's come and gone in bursts and I got itches need scratchin.

When this forced me to branch out, I found the Robin social, and originally hoped to recapture some of that spark, pardon the pun, that I felt in the PGD. To my great benefit, that never occurred; instead I've found another great community that has itself inspired me to check out even more communities since, primarily the Zeldas and the DR.

I know my presence on the site is perhaps still limited overall, but honestly, I feel like I've grown enormously. And because in large part that's because y'all have been awesome peeps, I thank and credit you all for it.

I wasn't aware I'd have to sign for it from play-asia, and as such it languished in the post office for a month and was returned to them at my expense. I have not since found another.

I'm salty, but I have only myself to blame for not keeping up with it. More positively, I've learned, and I'm monitoring my Lucina like a hawk.

Hopefully you're not thinking of me, and one of the other Robin regulars has better news.

Chargers I've only seen used properly from perches, which makes them kind of predictable once you know where the best perches are for each map. Because they have to be fairly focused on their task from where they're at and perches generally don't offer many places to run besides down, f you can sneak behind them, perches are easy bait for any anti-personnel weapon that can quickly overtake the perch and the percher. Nearly every shooter from Blaster to Aerospray fits that bill.

That said a charger player with good awareness of threats to his perch and, most importantly, quick and accurate aim would be a terror to behold. I have every confidence that one day we will, and I hope he's on my team, because I don't want to be on the wrong end of that barrel.

Oh yeah, I should say why I started to come here.

When I first played Awakening, I wasn't a big fan of Robin initially... I guess it's because I viewed him as a bland protagonist and I had a massive disinterest in new Fire Emblem characters, but one was inevitable (and I believed Chrom would get in, much to my dismay).
Then, I had a change of heart. I started to like a bit more as a character and soon became my favorite character in Awakening. On July 13, the day before #MonadoMonday Robin's confirmation, I decided to give my support to Robin, despite the fact that I expected Shulk or Chrom to get confirmed. Then, low and behold! I was wrong! And I found it funny how I lender my support the day before his confirmation! Robin looked absolutely amazing and I wanted to have him be one of my mains.

Ever since his confirmation, I decided to stay in the Robin social. I actually intended to leave Smashboards when speculation ended, but I decided to stay because I had friends here and I wanted to brush up on my skills.

I'm glad I stayed because I made some good friends here and have forged some bonds with many of you.
