So I take it a lot of the people asking why Mikoto doeesn't look old are not familiar with Asian genetics.

There are theoretically older people who have had worse happen in their life and look younger, ha ha. For instance, my friend is in her late 40s, but when we got shopping together, someone has mistaken us for siblings. Nevermind the fact I am 27 and people ask me what grade I am in.

Also, just as a reminder: Age in If and Fire Emblem in general is not really comparable to the general time period of the technology used. This is a world with mystical healers and magical creatures, in addition to all kinds of heritage that could prolong life in ways beyond your imagination. Becoming ill is not likely to hamper health in the long run in their world as it does our own. Hell, besides a certain gemstone, cancer doesn't even exist.

I'll admit she should have anime bags under her eyes or something if she serves a country in the middle of war, but with how chill everyone else seems, I suppose that's irrelevant.

I don't remember many of the character names.
My favorite would either be that Oni chick with the muscles or the smug, Anna-looking girl.
And Leon, I know his name.

Nishiki: A (fox thing) youth who lives in a remote region of Hoshido. As the succcessor to his clan following his father, he maintains the order among his comrades.

Kazahana: Well known as a prominent samurai of Hoshido. She escorts Hoshidan princess Sakura as her loyal retainer.

Tsubaki: Fights while riding a pegasus. This mannerism may make him seem like a gentle guy, but he is in fact very strict to himself.

Belka: A soldier who reports to the Nohrian princess Camilla. Well suited to Camilla, who greatly appreciates "strong girls". (So yeah, Belka is a female)

Luna: Like Belka, she is Camilla's subordinate. Hates to lose and isn't satisfied unless she is the very best at everything.

Nyx: Though she has the appearance of a young girl, she has a very mature personality. She has been living quietly (peacefully?) in Nohr.

Oh, and the Hubba Tester is making a return.

Wow, the connections between Awakening characters and IF characters are becoming more and more apparent.

I remember that many people in the past, including myself, speculated that IF might be either a predecessor or successor of Awakening in terms of timeline. As of now, having Luna and Severa sharing very similar personalities, looks, and even the same voice actress is some mere coincidence anymore.

And with Inigo look-a-likes and the strange familiar aura that Aqua brings, it might not be surprising that Awakening and IF might as well be very related.
