So my boss and I talked Pokemon today at work. Needless to say it was a fun and easy shift. He asked me about any games to recommend and the first couple I told him was FE Awakening and Smash. Maybe if I try hard enough I can show him the glory that is the tactician magician.

I do indeed, and it's why I get so upset about these pre-orders (not that I actually kicked a chair, just felt like doing so), because it is 'online or nothing' for me. Getting a two minute window in which to buy Robin and Lucina is just... "ngghhhwhehh whyyyy why did you screw this up so bad Nintendo whyyyy"

In other news, Robin's newly improved Wind Jab continues to be really fun. Took out a vaguely decent Captain Falcon with it just now.

I know right? I fought the same Link multiple times on for glory, and he never even considered the possibility of Thoron going through his shield even though it had done so many times before.

That's what I meant. The shield blocks all hits except that last hit, and that really riles the FG Links up.

With customs, Palutena is actually pretty insane. Like, sometimes faster than sonic insane and you're in possible death percent starting at 70% insane. She's fun to play though. I play her every once in a while, with customs naturally.

Customs Palutena is actually ridiculous LOL. Three new movement options, guaranteed kills off of a grab at 70-80%, punishes from across the stage, better recovery, and there's still a ton of stuff that can be discovered with a tech for Jump Glide called Glide Bouncing. It's kind of like wavedashing during JG

Also, NEVER take custom Palutena to a stage with low ceilings:

I find her more bearable with customs, but without them, I can't bring myself to use her at all. I despise her standard specials besides Warp and I only really like her UAir and USmash from her other attacks, alongside maybe her dash attack. Everything else feels so...eh. That of course, has nothing to do with my question of her being bad, that was moreso based on seeing her low in plenty of tier lists and reading people say she was pretty disappointing a while ago.

Jab, fair, bair, dthrow, and sometimes nair are also solid moves. But yeah, there's no reason to play default Palutena over custom Palutena, ever.

It is like Zelda's shenanigans, except vastly superior in every single sense of the word.

The minor Phantom nerf doesn't really matter tho

I mean...3 more seconds respawn IF someone breaks your Phantom? 1. You won't be using it in succession most of the time and 2. Most people won't break it. The Phantom isn't Luma lol.

Minor Phantom nerf is totally made up by less cooldown and longer active frames tho, as well as fsmash actually being a move now

Use her. Use her until Nintendo patches out Lightweight and replaces it with Fortune's Jukebox or something.
