If I actually had to bank on what the translation turns out to be, my guess is that one of the developers' leads or coworkers provided the inspiration for Mustafa, which itself would be pretty cool.

That's...... an interesting parallel, but yes, actually, I would say that's a pretty fair assessment. Only thing is Luigi's frame data is way more oppressive than Zane's is. (Zane's attacks are actually not that fast, save for his 2)

Big Blue... I thought it was just going to be Mute City and Blue Falcon, and this pack focused on Animal Crossing.
So when is going to be added to Mario Kart 8? The DLC doesn't have to be limited to just two packs.

Anyways now that I think about it Zane is more like Falcon. Explosive Damage Cray-Cray grabs and possibly the worst disadvantage in their respective games. No wonder they are so loved in their respective communities

I enjoy MK8's OST as I like upbeat jazz, though I can't say I get the EOIV feel. Most of the tracks are relatively tranquil, since it's a series about exploration. The exception being FOE and boss tracks, which for the most part are not as composed (compsed as in; the tracks have a disruptive melody). Suppose the closest comparison would be Storm, though the pacing and increased emphasis on percussion, eh.

I'm gonna miss my replays. Iwent through and looked at a lot of them seeing as they're going to be gone soon. I'm the type of guy who plays a lot of online at times and will often save the replay if I pull off a cool string/something silly happens. Now I've probably amassed over a hundred replays (most of which was just footage for my eventual book kill montage video) I did a lot of cool stuff with some of my characters. Some notable mentions include:

: -Killing someone off the top by using Hydro Pump at them. Did Up Throw > Up air > Double jump > Hydro pump upwards then down.
-Doing taunt canceled Shadow Sneak and killing with it
-Gimping people's recoveries with Hydro Pump
-Playing a casual free for all match with friends on Smashville. There's a Jiggs falling in the air charging up Rollout. I Hydro Pump the Jiggs right in front of a passing balloon which she hits with Rollout and falls to her final death.
: -Managing to perform the Sacred Combo
-Me and the Samus I was fighting with in one match both spiked each other with our Down airs
-Thinking it's Melee and pulling off the Wheel of Fortune (Several Up-airs into a Knee finish)
-Sweet combos and hard reads of Falcon Punch/Knee/Down Air Stomps
-Being generally stylish and disrespectful

-Getting lots of gimps offstage like Back Air into a stage spike and then footstooling them
-Getting a sweet Up tilt > Up Air > Fair combo for the match win
-Gimping people on walled Omegas with Thunderjolt when they try to recover low
-Looking flashy by stringing together quick attacks with grabs and other cool mixups
/: -Various book/elthunder/thoron snipes.
-Expending a book on purpose to throw it backwards at someone trying to recover and they die from the book.
-Throwing books around center stage to snipe people holding onto the ledge or offstage trying to recover
-Killing a Jiggs with regular, non spiking Elwind at 20% after she tried to Wall of Pain me
-Getting spiked by a DDD on a walled Omega, teching the wall, walljumping the tech, and counter spiking him with Elwind.
(Seeing some of my older, week 1 replays of smash 4 Wii U showed me how much I've improved.)
: -A string of the Ken combo
-Sass against Marth/Ike both in match and win screen
: -Unnecessary bowling ball drops
-Doing villager dittos, I pocket the other Villager's tree. Land Down Smash > Throw out tree while they're grounded.
: -Kill a Jiggs with the first part of Aether will we're both up in the air
-Bait out counters and land fully charged smashes when they activate and flub their counters (Do this with a few of these characters, but it feels the best with Ike)
: - Landing Up throw >Flare Blitz.
-Getting Jab 1> Jab 2> Up-B
-Being a literal monster and stomping people into the ground blastzone.

Gonna miss them, but I don't think I'll miss waiting for my game to load up all the replays every time I get done watching one. I need to invest in a capture device here soon.

Nintendo Kart is something that needs to happen and I am sad that it hasn't.
Link, Villager, and Isabelle as playable characters as well as tracks from F-Zero and Excitebike make this dream feel a bit closer.

Yeah, on review not sure where my head was.

Battle theme was my original thought. Sort of like they kicked up the BPM on Faith Is My Pillar. Got that kind of wall of sound vibe, though the methods differ drastically. The percussion actually seems right about the same mechanically, with the mixing just de-emphasizing it on the EO side.

I was definitely mixing battle and exploration in my head for that saxophone though. Maybe I just miss playing EO.

Big Blue is not only my favorite stage to race in F-Zero but also in my top three of my favorite F-Zero songs. I thought GX had the best Big Blue, but know that's up for debate.

I- I'm gonna need a moment to take in this wonderful piece of work.

Seriously though just add Falcon into Mario Kart 8 already. Stop teasing me with this wonderful F-Zero stuff that's not an F-Zero game.
