I really don't get it, outside of it being shoved down the players throat that it's canon.

I might actually agree with you, except that I go that route every time. Because, a) it gives Lucina galeforce (ruling out Sully), b) I don't like magic based Lucina (which is a shame, because Marribelle has great supports with Chrom), and c) Henry x Olivia is kind of my OTP. And plus, they actually do make for an interesting couple. Done to death, yes, but still interesting.

I've done Chrom with Robin, Sumia, and Olivia. All three have things I like about them, both from a story standpoint and in terms of the kids that come out of it.

Oddly enough, though, I'm not too fond of blue-haired Cynthia. It's just too cold a color for her. I prefer ginger Cynthia, even if it clashes with her outfit. The fan art makes it a little better-looking, though, and it does match the ruffles on her clothes.

I shipped Maribelle and Chrom in my first playthrough (which is also my Sumia playthrough) because I despised Maribelle. But now I found, out of curiosity and the fact that my hatred for Maribelle became a joke among me and my friend, I married her in my second playthrough and she actually has really cute supports. I love her now, and she's not nearly as smug and annoying after you get to know her better (and my god is she cute in that cleric dress, but i guess everyone is...). She gets even less love than Sumia though

Maribelle's grown on me after seeing a couple of her supports. I put her with Stahl in my first run and I like how she tries to help him find a goal in life. I admit to being a sucker for ladylike characters as well.

Sully's next on my list if I do a fourth run. Had I accidentally put Robin with another character instead of accidentally putting her with Chrom on my first run, he would have ended up with Sully since they C-Supported.

EDIT: And can't remember if I said this here too or only in the Lucina thread, but my favorite FE:A pairings are:
Morgan x Cynthia- I adore them and their supports are super cute. Cynthia is also the daughter of one of my favorite characters, so it's the closest I can get female Robin to Sumia.
Gregor x Miriel- Cute supports, Gregor is perfect for Laurent's father supports, and you get a beautifully broken Laurent out of it.
Lon'qu x Cherche- Again, love their supports and how it ties Cherche into Lon'qu, and Lon'qu as Gerome's father makes sense and gives him Nightwing hair.
Libra x Tharja- One of the few supports that makes Tharja more sympathetic, especially in their epilogue.
Ricken x Nowi- Cute supports are cute, even if it doesn't make the best Nah.
Donnel x Sully- I like the theme of their supports, and Kjelle becomes a nice unit.
Yarne x Robin- I'm still on the fence for favorite Robin pairing, but this is looking like the top candidate. Their supports are so cute, especially when it's Build 2 Robin, and you get Taguel Morgan!

my bad, meant to say the WiiU version. Still, you'd think they'd at least bother giving Micaiah some recognition given her role in RD is more relevant than that of Sothe. I guess we'll just never see much interest in lesser characters that aren't from awakening (RIP dream of seeing Ily in HD ;_; )

Sothe confirmed for playable DLC.

All of his attacks instantly deal 999% damage, but have a fixed knockback value of 1. Final Smash: Gives birth to Ike's children.

At least he'd have doubles.

Speaking of which, I guess we know how Priam came about.

Tiki and Anna are sensible, but they should have featured some lords from other titles. Rather have four lords to each represent a different realm than like ten randoms from one game. Elincia checks in because she is kind of a lord.

Yeah, 3DS was kinda better (wish they took more from say, FE12 for example but eh, Japan-only is still Japan-only).

I guess I just can't expect quality as long as it's not forced to be made from scratch or has 3D models to pull from (lol Micaiah and Soren getting nothing).

To be fair, most of the Mother trophies were just ripped from Brawl or things like the Magicant stage, whereas the FE:A ones were brand new renders based off their official art.

Wii U has completely enveloped my social and free time, that includes posting on Smashboards. I really need to take breaks when playing that game, but it's just so darn addicting! As much as these are prettty hilarious, I dunno if to laugh or just feel melancholic.

Maybe because I keep feeling partly quilty for having a mindset of not bothering to dig deeper in potential candidates to FE-representation to be aware of Robin despite wanting much better for it. Went mac game one because he was clueless against him the previous week (I 4-0d him in 2 grand finals sets (b03s because it was just a weekly). Needless to say he figured out that gimmick character within the week.



P.S. Mac may become the freest character in this game as time goes on.
