I just checked what Robin's German display screen name is in Boxing Ring.
Meisterstratege aus Ylisse
Master Strategist from Ylisse

Accurate but a bit lame. Also one could argue that they are from Plegia, not Ylisse, but I figure Robin would identify a lot more with the Ylissean people.

Also, feel free to add my NNID, everyone.

It's actually not that hard to be stylish with Robin. The character just oozes style everywhere she goes. Thoron edgeguarding, offstage thoron, double arc fire combos, nosferatu suicides, tome kos, etc. People seem to get the most hype for elwind spiking though if you have to start somewhere.

Focus on having fun. If you don't style your enemy, you will always lose, even if you have stocks at the end of the battle.

You changed your avatar before I could use any of my gifs.
And i say...
HEYEAYEAYEAYEAYEAYEAYEAYEA

To style on your enemy is to put on a show, shame your enemy, and do the most visually impressive action possible to accrue the optimal level of hype, even if it's not always the most logical option and it is less efficient.

Like as a Villager player, when my enemy is on their last stock and falling down to the abyss, I deliberately drop a bowling ball on them or run off and spray them with the watering can. It's disrespectful. Captain Falcon is the undisputed king of style, and most everyone would agree he is the most fun to watch. With him, you can deliberately elongate your combos, run off the ledge to stomp/knee, Raptor Boost meteor, and of course Falcon Punch when basically any other option would have hit and killed anyway.

Other examples of styling:
Deliberately saving your enemy so you can combo them.
Basically any unnecessary meteor smash
Taunting when the stakes are high
Mutually-assured destruction (Bowsercide, Ganoncide, etc.)
And so on.

You've got to really feel it. :4shulk:

If you never style in Smash Bros, you are going to die at a young age. You've got to put on a show. Your enemy should feel royally pooped on. If you get styled on, and the announcer claims you somehow won the game, you tell him to shut up and run that back until you can put your opponent in their place.
As a Captain Falcon main, you gotta always finish with a Knee or Falcon punch...
Or both :4dedede:

Ya robin is prom plegia he/she is technically a prince(ess) too but then that's spoiling the game
The reason they are from ylisse is because they don't feel tied to plegia so that's why they don't return to rule them or anything
Or that's how I feel anyways

As far as styling goes I always go for funny ko's either thorons from across the stage, tome/levin sword throw, and Elwind spike whenever I can
It's just fun to do :)
Oh and nair into nair is just a funny way to gimp people
It has strange horizontal knock back
And robin is so floaty that he/she can nair into nair most opponents offstage

That first KO.

"Awesome. Falcon popped us Up+B so early. Perfect opportunity for a down smash."

And then I found myself pleasantly surprised with that disrespectful unnecessary Elwind kill.

All of my approval. Second KO was cute as well, by the way. Nice to see another Robin who understands the greatness of the butter knife nair gimp.

Surely you do not refer to...

The Sacred Combo of legend!?

Many would say it is a mere tale spun by many a troubadour. Something that Falcon mommies and daddies tell to their young Falcons before they knee them into bed. A mere fairy tale, they say. But I can tell you, it does indeed exist!

The Sacred Combo, the holy prophecy told down from Falcon to Falcon. It is only when it is the time, when the stars align, hype is at its maximum input, and the sweat of the chosen one has become one with the plastic of their controller that this ancient technique can be utilized. It is said the victim's character is banished to the Shadow Realm, removing any and all data that references that character from local data, leaving behind a cold lifeless void from where they once remained on the character select screen. They will spend all of eternity in hit-stun with no walls to tech off of, never to be seen again.

I think Father-son\daughter relationships should have been explored more in Awakening, i mean apart from Chrom and Male Robin everyone else gets stuck with a generic conversation, that most of the time doesn't event fit the character.
They could learn a thing or two from Bowzah :4bowser:

So last night I went kind of crazy taking pictures. I ended up doubling the amount I previously had, which was around 30 or so just in one night. Many of them involve :4robinf: either looking cute af, or having some sass in her eyes.

Some of my favorites

Also some things I thought @ AustarusIV AustarusIV might enjoy.

Man I can stop laughing at all of this, is just hilarious. The Sacred Combo is a combination of things that the word beautiful is not enough to describe the feeling when you succeed at doing it and the you can watch your friends hating you for the rest of the day.

It's the ultimate way to show your moves:4falcon:

Stahp brah

you're making me jelly of those who own the Wii U version :c

But seriously, those are amazing. :4robinf: really does have a beautiful smile in this game. It makes me want to play as her again even more when I get the chance, because the 3DS version wasn't enough for me to seriously main her.

When Robin and Lucina were revealed, I really hoped their faces weren't final. They just bothered me, especially Lucina's. They're on like the very verge of uncanny-ness to me and i dun liek et. And the fact that M/F Robin, as far as I can tell, share the same exact face.

Lucina would be a lot prettier if she had Marth's face lol.

Maybe disbelief because by then I would believe the Gematsu leak a bit more. I think that would be the general consensus on this board; people would dismiss the ESRB leak because it features Robin and not Chrom and the Chorus Men aren't playable. If Shulk was revealed in July, the Gematsu leak would still dominate speculation and would look more absolute.

D: Robin is not supposed to be this beautiful, but she is. Never saw her as pretty until Smash 4.
Scencario: What would be your reaction if Shulk was revealed on July 14 and Robin was leaked through the ESRB leak?
Well it would have been awfully boring if we got Shulk when we expected him. It would also lack any triumph, since Shulk was already lined up in the eyes of the Gematsu sheep and we would have to hear their mindless droning for longer than we had. We'd still have that "Huzzah!" moment if we saw Robin in action in a leak, but it would have been a lot weaker either way.

Regardless, there would be satisfaction knowing Robin is supreme.

This is our kingdom, now. :4robinf::4robinm:

You didn't find her adorable in Awakening?
She looks like an anime lead. They generally have a certain level of unearthly flawlessness.

The appearance of MU, with her attire, general lack of extravagant hair styles and accessories, and occupation, sells me an idea of someone who got all of her dice rolls into wisdom and intellect. It wasn't until I made a build2♀ that I got something cute, but not quite pretty for anime standards.

it took me a lot longer trying to capture this moment on video, damn following sentence appearing almost instantly
Worth it. :4robinf:

Robin was in part of the gameplay in Shulk's reveal trailer. lol that'd be hillarious if Robin got leaked

Jokes aside, I'd still be extremely happy to get Shulk and it wouldn't affect my opinion on Robin's chances at all. However, if he/she was revealed in the ESRB leak I think a lot of us would have trouble believing it. "Robin AND Lucina? No Chrom? DUCK HUNT DOG? Bowser Jr. when we already have Rosalina? Seems too good to be true." Glad it was true though, the roster has shaped up very nicely

You didn't find her adorable in Awakening?
Well of course she was, but...
She's a lot more adorable in Smash while she's not being posessed by some evil dragon who makes you kill your best friend :smirk:
That reminds me, has anyone checked to see if Robin has Grima's mark on his/her hand? They paid attention to Lucina's Brand of the Exalt, so I hope the same would happen to Robin.

I thought huzzah was a slang of our times or something, so when I saw it in a fantasy medieval-esque setting, it made me chuckle (unlike Knuckles :046:). I wonder if we'll see the playable tactician gimmick return often in future FE games? I wouldn't be surprised if Awakening pretty much shapes up the mold for the future 2 or 3 games at the very least, but I kinda hope they don't use the marriage mechanic, I don't really like the infamous reputation it got of being a waifu simulator of sorts

Have to consider the fact that Awakening was Fire Emblem's saving grace. It was tailored to appeal to a wider audience. I wouldn't be surprised if Lucina and Morgan were the main characters of the next Fire Emblem to ensure that it retains it's newfound fanbase.

I'll definitely look at the game cautiously if it's a direct sequel to Awakening, that really doesn't give me good vibes. I wouldn't mind seeing a Genealogy of the Holy War remake as Hong suggested next though

I think remakes/rereleases/translations really need to happen a lot to really grab the fanbase that Fire Emblem could potentially have.

I can't tell if you're joking or not, if you aren't, then God bless your innocent soul.
i'm not joking, so thanks, I guess?

Such youth. Such innocence.

So many naughty people out there like @ Weeman Weeman who exist only to corrupt you.:096:
Again, thanks? Yeah, I'm not one to get jokes, even more so inappropriate jokes. I actually dislike extreme , um, "sexual" jokes, for a lack of a better word. I also just get so uncomfortable when people start talking about that type of subject.

Sorry I've been kinda out of lately and had a bad night so I haven't been coming here, but I'm glad I did happen to check the thread just now because it lifted my spirits quite a bit. Thank you for that. Also that spoiler with it spoilers sighing spoilers stuff was ridiculous, but I clicked through them anyways. :p I just recently replayed through the original pokemon ranger and
it took me so long to get through the stupid go rock squad base with the red tiles and alarms that I nearly threw my DS at the wall. I never want to do that again. Ranger is one of those games where you can fail 100 times and it still won't lessen the difficulty for you.

It's beautiful! I wish I could digital art like that. Kudos to your sis, I'll check out her stuff later. (Well, if I remember.)

In all honestly, training to win or to play competitively just makes smash not fun anymore. I've tried it myself, and it just made smash unpleasant to play because in the end i'd always lose. I realized that the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy what you're doing, because otherwise it just brings unwanted stress and pain. Idk, some people really like winning, but honestly if you get frustrated I'd just back off and take a moment to calm down. Smash shouldn't be a reason to get stressed out over.
The same goes for any game really. For example, FE classic may pose a chaos FE some peoe like and is more realistic, but being the person I am, the prospect of losing units forever and having to form strategies to keep everyone alive stresses me out and makes the game not fun anymore. The same goes for lunatic mode which is just terrible trial and error over and over again.

FE:A spoiler:
master core Robin: I am the fell dragon, Grima. :]
Wow, you have such good graphics! :4lucina:
But no seriously, those screens look AWEsome. I love seeing these.

I was going to do a Robin x lucina run haha @people talking about shipping earlier
The original Pokémon Ranger is such a pain. The sequels fortunately fix a lot of the issues. It took me ages to beat Steelix.

Yeah, I understand. As someone who loves to laugh, I don't take too much to perverted humour. As a comedian, of course I have some sexual humour just to have the material for when I need it, but it's certainly not the type of jokes I struggle to spit out without laughing.
