Whenever I shoop :4robinf: and :4robinm:, I black out and wake up to find all the :4robinm: replaced with :4charizard:.
I know that feeling. I have come to the conclusion that their bond together is so strong, so powerful and sublime in all of its glory, that it can literally be felt across time and space. The wretched demon of despair can cry all he wants, but his pitiful attempts at tearing their bonds asunder will only get him killed again and again and again.

This is but a glimpse at their dreams of one another:

Guys.

I played the Wii U version today.

Major MAJOR buff to Robin.

CAPE PHYSICS.

The bottom of the Robe billows in the wind and it looks AMAZING.

(Also, I'm like 70% sure they buffed Robin's aerial acceleration (so you can fast-fall faster, better weave-game), but I'm unsure if it's simply placebo due to having a better control scheme, or not.)

Robin has a surprisingly good fashion sense, doesn't he/she?
Seemingly the only Plegian that knows how to dress, unfortunately. Everything from Gangrel's mantle that resembles a popped dynamite to Tharja's desperate bid for attention... Bleck. Aversa's outfit has a good motif, but it would be better as a coat or something. Cover up!
I'd get the entire ensemble.

Hell, I'd get the female ensemble too if I wasn't a big anti-high heel kind of person.
Unfortunately, many artists are convinced high heels just grow off of women naturally for some reason. Seriously. In some games out there, heels are literally built into the character model and accounted for in everything women wear. Even worse are when they literally grow heels, like the female Aman from TERA or Sarah Kerrigan. Like seriously. If they wanted to evolve to be taller, it wouldn't be in a way that could cause them to break an ankle while running. That and it doesn't even look cool. In fact it looks kind of dumb.

This is why I don't feel bad for artists being the least paid people in the gaming industry. :054:
Well this is freaking incredible! As someone who considers themselves a fashionable male, I'd totally buy M!Robin's outfit in a heartbeat if it was real. And F!Robin's outfit is equally amazing, not to mention stunning. I LOVE THESE OUTFITS SOOOO MUCH!!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

CAPE PHYSICS. YES. They looked stupid in the 3ds version. Like they were stapled to his legs when he ran.

I honestly have no way of knowing, but I'd guess that the superior control scheme (one that greatly benefits Robin, at that) just made Robin appear to be buffed.

Either way, this is great news.

By the way, can you confirm whether or not using the c-stick in the air activates the Levin Sword?

It absolutely does. C-stick will give you a Levin sword 100% of the time unless it is broken.

Edit: To be more specific, Right-stick with CC Pro. We don't have the GCube adapter yet of course.

It would seem Robin used a master seal to become a Grandmaster for the Wii U version, minus the outfit of course.

Excellent! Now this is a genuine buff for Robin! Being able to have absolute and instantaneous control of when you pull out your Levin Sword will be great for Robin in so many ways.

I see a bright future for Robin. :)

If Robin does have a buffed aerial maneuverability, oh my god.

Never have to run ever again. We can play like Wario, with a godly Fair to space.

But if not, cape physics is an adequate consolation.

Wario-levels it's definitely not. But it might be a bit better, haha.

Game feeling freaking fantastic in general though, holy moly.

Beat Xenoblade a few hours ago.

Tearful applause.

Makes me really hope Xenoblade Chronicles X takes place in the same universe, albeit eons later.

It would really suck if it was a prequel, taking place in the universe that Klaus wiped out. :/

First rule of the Robin thread- accept Charizard/F!Robin as your One True Pairing.

Anyway, reading all this makes me sad I'll have to wait until (hopefully) Christmas for the Wii U version. At least I'm so busy right now anyway that it's not like I'd have much time to play yet anyway.

Well as long as you are busy, the days will pass you by quickly and before you know it, Christmas Day will be here so you can enjoy some Smash Bros. Wii U goodness. ^_^

Man,Chrom fans are getting rip apart bit by bit and this is both sad and hilarious.
As a Chrom fan I found this video hilarious, though it also hurt.
I swear Chrom not in smash will be a joke forever.
Sakurai will just sit back with his troll face on. :p
You guys makin fun of dissing FF White Mage!Male Robin?

=P
As I'm here using default male Robin like a loser, haha.
:4robinm: In a suit would be home-taking worthy boy...:4palutena:

(But honestly, that image looks pretty charming... )
i feel like I should draw this.

Just draw Robin in a ton of classy outfits then feed the pictures to all you wonderful people.
I must also do my duty to draw F!robin And Charizard to honor the true otp.
So it's Time to tip the- I mean DRAW SOME... Stuff. Idek. Give me some time and I'll have drawings.

Well well well, interesting conversation to be had here. Also someone actually brought in the suit concepts, I'm a happy guy. Embarrass (Zard & Robin ain't shabby pair, but as a pairing, eh.)

I personally believe that Robin's outfit being rather different from most other Plegians is because he was born in Outrealms and his/her parent was a tactician as well, who wore similar clothes. To me then, Mark from FE7.

Actually, if to elaborate it further:

You can see Mark wear a hood as well, similar to Robin's?

Also the sprite resembles what is the entire tactician robe Robin wears:

So I have some base to my little headcanon. (Also, Japan having Morgans named "Marc", which has me imagine :4robinf: naming her son after her parent)

How long did it take it for you to clear? Hope the game's not like 1 year worth trip to clear through.

@ Raziek Raziek : Ho boy, I'm so stoked to hear this. Though it was expected from the start but stilll. I think it's like removing weights from our hands that we're currently having when using 3DS-controls as we transition to GCN-controls (or WiiU Pro Controller, etc).

Play time has it recorded at 213 hours. Granted, 10 of those hourse were likely accrued by sitting idle, but still, 200 hours.

That sounds par for the course if you did all the side-quests.

If you're just trying to beat the story, 80 hours is more what you're looking at.

Probably, but I've seen some people beat the game, all quests possible in a run included, in 140 hours. Guess I just need to get better. :p

Shame that New Game+ keeps your level though. It makes the next runthrough horrifically easy. I'll need to play the game again fresh to do a challenge run.

That ending theme though. <3

Once I find myself with funds, I'm ordering that OST from Amazon.

Such is my dilemma. I did not expect to be immediately hurled to the beginning of the game. Thus, if I want an engaging experience again, I'm debating between starting a new file or waiting for the 3DS port.

Really now? That reminds of Chrono Trigger, although in that case you could easily skip ahead and defeat the final boss as soon as you encounter it. I suppose there isn't anything like that in Xenoblade Chronicles, is there?

I'm trying to decide on whether to get the 3DS port or the Wii version. I'd rather not get it now, because I'm playing through FFVII for the first time, and I'd like to finish that game first before getting to Xenoblade.

(Welp, I might not know the best time to truly start this bby - at least without wanting to do it through private gaming sessions like I did with Symphonia)

Emulate it in Dolphin with HD textures if your computer can, otherwise you might as well just go for the Wii version.

Game is godlike.

Lookee here:

A ten-year old girl named Karissa just took on some of the best Smash players on the west coast at a local GameStop and gave them hell And one of the characters she was playing, King Dedede, was someone that she had never played as before.

Of course, this is relevant to the Robin forum because the first player she was playing against used :4robinf:.

I loathe Robin. She's the worst character in SSB history.
I adore Robin and she just might be my favorite character in SSB ever.

She's so lovable. And huggable. And snuggable~

Whoops, I wrote that.

On another note, Levin Sword is broken in All Star Mode. 2 charged attacks kill anyone.
