Default palette is honestly the bess one. I have reservations with the other skins, but I wish they had a Nah color for female robin. Guess Nowi Lucina will have to do

I also think Robins Final Smash should have been Tharja coming in and countering a hit or placing some Hex on someone

The only Final Fantasy-related content we need in this series is music. I honestly don't care about getting a character from it, but if we had to get one, I'd prefer it would be someone like a Black Mage. But seriously, the music.

I think I jumped the gun on Dark Pit. He's still in my top five, but I'm better with Best Character and Duck Hunt.

I tried to play as male Robin once (in SSB- my male Robin run is still on eventually) and I just couldn't get into it. I just really adore F!Robin so much.

On colors- my favorite is red Robin. I actually didn't like it at first, but seeing it in action made me love it. I just like redheads. I also like the default on both and green Robin. The black-haired white-robed one is interesting. I still wish they had gotten a bit more creative, though. Hmm, lets see, we gave Robin red hair... I know! A red robe!

Wii Fit Trainer is a hard counter to Robin. When Robin says, "Time to tip the scales!" Wii Fit Trainer goes into rage mode thinking there is a fatty nearby.

Well, I think Warrior of Light or Onion Kid would be the best pick, since they could represent more of the series by being so diverse. Granted, I suppose Black Mage could pull off a Pac-Man and pull out Square-Enix stuff for his moves. In any event, I think Black Mage could be more about statuses, traps, and long-ranged magic, since Robin feels more like a generalist character.

By the way, I saw somewhere that there was a skype group for Robin players. I don't have regular access to a 3DS, but I'm waiting for the WiiU version. Is that group still a thing or am I too late to join it?

I'm open to the idea of Black Mage being a character that causes status effects on the other fighters, as there are endless opportunities to explore within the vast amount of black magic spells in the series. I could see spells such as Bio, Break, Slow, and Osmose being used. Osmose in particular could be used to restore the Black Mage's hypothetical 'MP meter', in which his smash moves would be entirely dependent on, much like Robin's limited use of the Levin Sword.

I have this idea that the Black Mage will have a MP meter that can tell how much magic is being used up, much like in the original series. The stronger the smash attacks (or specials) are, the more it costs the MP meter. I haven't thought up of a complete moveset just yet, but I also like to think of him as a long-ranged fighter that would try to stay away from close combat.

Can't say that I ever really considered Warrior of Light or Onion Knight to be the SE reps. Black Mage and Slime are the only two characters that I ever seriously thought about being in Smash.

Black Mage, White Mage, Ninja, Moogle, and Cactuar have the benefit of appearing in a NIntendo game before, so they have that going. Out of those five, Ninja is kind of generic and Cactuar... well, I suppose I won't put anything past Sakurai.

also also, i was testing out my out of shield options on wifi today and found that bair OoS is really hard to land still. Even with all that testing it seems like Robin still has a lot of trouble when being approached just out of grab range with some characters

FFIX is amazing, though.

Out of the first ten, the only one that I didn't like was VIII and X. VII is no doubt overrated, but still a game worth anyone's time.

For every (but two) characters, I use their default palettes. I just like playing as the characters in their normal colors. My only two exceptions are Wario (since I LARGELY prefer his Wario Land/Overalls look... but that's default as well) and Lucina (I use the Tharja palette).

As for my mains, it's no surprise to me that Luigi is my best character, but I'm still learning how to play as Pit, Shulk, and Robin. For Robin, I'm having trouble smash attacking in the air just to use his Levin Sword. I dunno if I should blame myself or the Circle Pad.

Oh, and I have nothing to say for Final Fantasy as I've never played an FF game before.

It appears it is time for me to climb out of lurking early on in the game's lifespan xD. Robin is easily my best character on For Glory (The character you pick if you're fed up with your opponent, you know?) and he's got pretty much everything I can't get out of Marth anymore.

He probably has the fastest KO moves in the game with his aerial Levins, whereas Marth now just has trouble killing people without landing a Smash.

Also, I get what you're saying. When it's starting to get REAL, I use Robin just cuz all the Elfire/Arcthunder and Levin Sword combos surprise my opponent.

I don't like using default palettes, but I really like Robin's default male one. When I decide to be spontaneous, I make him Green, but I can't go too long without my default Tactician cloak.

This is almost where I'm at as well. I wouldn't say Marth has so much trouble killing without smashes as to be unviable, but he's definitely not what he was before.
luckily, this is also the first Smash where I can actually use someone other than Marth reasonably well Robin seems to suit my playstyle particularly well.
