-Here I go!
Well, female Robin has the actual "Time to tip the scales" quote, as well as NOT having one of Pit's stupid Brawl quotes.
Yet another reason to prefer the female Robin.

Eh, the only character I really taunt with is :4falcon: anyways. I really don't care, as long as Robin is playale.

They overdid it, IMO. I would have focused on Lon'qu's other qualities.

Which amount to:

-Being the best at peeling potatoes
-Not being a party man
-Disliking indulgences

So...not much to work with.
Not at all.
  • Introvert (sort of like your last two points, but so much more to be said)
  • Dedicated to the sword
  • High awareness of naturalist living
  • Potential to be the next Khan
  • Speaking of which, Regna Ferox stories are all always great
  • Also, he has a name of Chon'sin origin
And that's just the start.

Still better than Yarne... For real, that crybaby is so annoying and i paired him with F!Linfan just to see him suffer
I'm not too fond of Owains quirk, aswell.

I was disregarding everything well established about him there; these are all interesting expansion points. Too bad there's no postgame.

His father was killed by potatoes, and its his mission to destroy all the potatoes.
Commanded by PotatOS from Aperture Labs.

Yarne and Morgan... Many lulz.
Also, how can you not like Owain?!

We speculated what Robin's weight would be, and now we have answers.

A number of us expected her to sit between about Mario and Link, but it turns out, she is just ever-so-lightly below Mario.

For reference (weight scores):

Bowser: 128 (Heaviest barring Shield Art Shulk)
Mario: 98
Robin: 95
Jigglypuff: 68 (lightest barring Smash Art Shulk)

So we have essentially a healthy average. Can't really complain.

Robin's the same weight as Sonic and Pacman, which surprises me.

He needs to eat more bear meat and pack on a few more pounds.

I can only eat bear meat so many times.

Which is why I carry a salad!:4robinf:

I always equated all those tomes to a whole lot of weight, is all.
Books aren't necessarily heavy. The type of material they are made of, number of pages and general mass affect their weight.

The tomes do show a lot of pages, but look the size of an iPad. They don't look like hardcovers either.

So they can't be that heavy.

I don't know about that. They hurt a lot when they hit somebody.:4robinf:

Since we operate on Smash rules, getting hit by a tome is no worse than a jab.

:4robinf:
Actually tomes kill at 110%, most if not all jabs don't. :4robinm: So, yes by smash rules those tomes hit harder than even Bowser X)

Robin is super-floaty, which is both a good and a bad thing. It's good because sometimes you don't need to waste Elwind to get back to the ledge. On the other hand, it's annoying when you've used Elwind and then have to wait a while to get back to the ground.

It's been a while since I've used him in Melee, but I feel like yes? When I jump with Lucina, she feels solid and feels like she's about to sink right back to the ground. When I jump with Mario, he does float a little, but he has a weight to him that drags him down. Robin's jumps feel more springy and weightless, almost like Jigglypuff's (but obviously not as drastic).

Here's a video of my gameplay and see if you can see what I mean:

Robins been taunting me for the last couple of hours... Been playing the demo, but seriously, the more i play, the less i want to get the 3DS version. But its propably because the demo feels like a really bad design choice. Battlefield with items spawning every other second and an AI that does nothing but get and use those items, and if they kill you using like the Dragoon or their FS that are timed/operated with unfair inhuman speed, they sometimes do nothing but run away til the time runs out. Like, come ON. And not being used to the controls just adds insult to injury.

You know you can switch to Final Destination mode, right? Press X on the stage select screen.

Yeah, even though I played the Japanese demo a lot and enjoyed it, I started to get frustrated about how unfair it seemed. Matches would almost always end in a Sudden Death and items on high made the matches feel weird. However, when I finally got the Japanese version, it felt so much better. Just the option to choose other characters helped, but being able to play how I wanted to play made the matches a lot more enjoyable.
