In ATLUS we believe :4pacman:
Actually, there's something i've been wanting to ask you.
I know SMT IV wasn't up your alley, but have you tried/played/liked any other SMT games?
Does Soul Hackers count? I got that one first. I played that for hours before I conceded.

Thankfully that one was on sale so I didn't mean too much.

I hope Zero wins that official character poll for Fates in Japan.

Odin, Luna, and Lazward best not come near top 10.

And because i'm on Wii U, it'd take forever to catch up.

*sigh*

Well it is a SMT game so Id say that counts
Well, when someone is ignorant of a series as I am with SMT, when I present my experiences to someone more familiar I present myself appropriately.

For instance, I wouldn't say Gaiden and Awakening is a good representation of Fire Emblem, or Zelda II is a good representation of The Legend of Zelda series. I like all three of those games and more traditional entries, though if they were my only frame of reference, my expectations would be skewed.

Zero certainly has my vote among the males. For the females, the answer is obvious.

I assume the royal siblings will all rank high and if this results in CG swimsuit/yukata, the royals don't get it. They already have swimsuit CGs, and if there's going to be another Hot Springs Scramble, just give the royal siblings the yukata now so that everyone else can have a chance.

I'd say keep a watchful eye on Aqua, Oboro, Joker, and Odin. That Famitsu poll from earlier gave us an idea of who Japan likes.

However, I'm much more interested in seeing how the second generation ranks. Particularly among the 2nd gen females.

Well it's not so different from the main series, just a few aspects like the first person dungeon crawling, wich is more similar to the NES/SNES originals.
So, did you like it? :4dedede:

lol don't feel bad about it, i was just trying to make a conversation.
I personally love the series but i'll be the first one to admit that it has many flaws so whatever.
So instead how about you recommend me the best Etrian Oddisey game to start with :139:

IV is the best game in the series, and also a good starting point.

1) It is more forgiving with newcomers without being an easy game. You still get something that feels like a brutal 1980s CRPG, but with some more modern design sensibilities.

2) It has the best classes and class balance. If you make logical decisions, you can't get a bad party. This is great because it allows for a lot of play style varieties as long as you cover your bases.

3) Soundtrack on par with EOIII. EOIII had better battle music, but this one has some great tracks within the labyrinth.

4) The length is just right. It's the shortest of the main series games, but still reasonably long for an RPG. If there's something to be said about Etrian Odyssey, besides being hard, it's that the games are really long and most people get value from the games yet never finish them. This one you can reasonably see the end of.

5) Since it's supposed to be like an old CRPG, the series is light on story. I think EOIV balanced it just right, making places of the labyrinth... well, I won't spoil anything. I'll just say the story feels more present without there being much story.

6) You can get your **** wrecked by a giant kangaroo.

7) Not only is it lower than average in price, but it usually goes on sale on the North American eShop. Keep an eye out.

Recommendations are EOIV > EOIIU >> EOIII > EOIU > EOI > EOII. EOIII is a great game for instance, but a bit contrived for newcomers.

So if a guy who looks a lot like a girl is called a trap.

What's it called for a girl who looks like a guy? Butch?

Agreed. I'm still biased toward Sakura though ;)

Btw, I'm gonna assume that they will go with how they handled the Awakening popularity poll.
4 1st Gen Characters, and 4 2nd Gen Characters.

If that's the case.....my picks are (Not counting the 8 Royals)

Zero, Oboro, Aqua/Felicia, Joker.

Ophelia, Soleil/Matoi, Shinonome/Lutz, and Gurei.

a Sheik.

Untold: the Millennium Girl is my favorite in the Etrian series.

I did quite enjoy Etrian Mystery Dungeon though.

If you can name all of the good animated series that are on right now(excluding anime), then you get a reward.

Sure....

Nothing. Because animation on television went **** when they decided to cancel Spectacular Spider-Man, Young Justice and Korra was a snorefest.

Western Animation is dead and full of crappy "lol so random" shows and hipster crap

Oh you mean that crappy wannabe 1989 show that just feel lifeless and isn't as awesome as the 2K3 series.

You need some lessons, kid. OG and 2K3 Turtles are and still are the ****. Any other variants that isn't the old movies or the comics are worthless to me
