Honestly it's pretty good.
It has sort of an original Teen Titans vibe.
It has a different purpose than the 2K3 turtles and it fulfills it pretty well.
I mean they actually act like teens now.

You do know that the OG Turtles are the actual original Mirage Turtles(who actually killed people and fought...seriously)unlike the 87 Turtles, and the 2003 Turtles shouldn't even be called teens(the steroids babies before the Bay version happened). That and 90% of the show was based on the original comics. NickTurtles are orginal with their stories and can be serious/funny/heartless all at once

Plus, Nickelodeon had the guts to do what no other incarnation has ever done before...Shredder killing Splinter...no spoiler tag(since my message talks about him anyways).

It just was boring in my opinion. Look maybe it's my attachment towards the older stuff (grew up with both of them) and me being old and jaded but maybe I'm getting too old.

Plus the art style turned me off quickly. Not because it was CGI but it really look stick figured and off to me

The animation actually makes it better, like how Avengers:EMH and Spectacular Spider-Man had animation that fits the story. Trust me, you'd love the show(maybe not the filler episodes every comic book show needs but they're fun still).

It's one of those shows I can't get into.

It's not you, it's personal preference. I just like the older stuff.

I gave it a few chances and each one didn't bulge me on to continue. I just dropped it around the 5th-6th episode and got bored

That's why, you didn't wait long enough. Episode 8-9 is when the main storyline starts(the other besides 1-2 are meant to warm you up). The other half of season 1 is more main story. Season 2 and 3 are when the show gets more serious(death, suicide,etc.). It's like Teen Titans before the show got more serious(both used the anime faces alot and were 50/50 balance between funny and serious). Currently, it's about 70/30, pushing limits Korra couldn't get to do.

I'm not even trying to force you to watch it. Comic book based shows have thsee discussions all the time, and most of them end up being some of the best(last TMNT show and Green Lantern)
