hi guys just wanted to share a small discovery about Robin. Keep in mind that Smash 4 is my first competitive smash and I'm learning new tech so maybe this is already known but I thought I would share it for those who do not know.
Edit: Dont know why but the thing submitted before I got to finish. Anyways so I've been practicing aerial mobility with Robin such as b-reverse and B- wavebounce and all that good stuff. I noticed from playing Robin that a lot of the time when we charge thunder, the only options are to shield, roll, spot dodge, or grab. I recently discovered that if you hold shield and pess jump with x or y, it doesnt matter if you shield you still jump. Finding thins out I incorporated it unto the B charge and sure enough, it works.
So what this means is that when you press X (jump) and L at the same time, Robin will cancel the charge and immediately jump, without having to put up a shield first. This means that if im b- reversing my charge to try to land and the opponent think I'm gonna roll, i can throw any areal attack instead. I've only done this on my 3ds since I havent gotten a chance to try it on the Wii u due to school so I dont know how it works on the Wii U. Still a useful tool that gives more options when charging thunder. Sorry If it's already been discovered though I thought I would post it for people who didnt know.
