It's more "superficially annoying" shall I say than actually irksome or bothersome to me.

BrainJemin attempted to make it a thing like 8 months ago and I shut it down immediately.

For example I also don't like it when people call me "Nicky" as opposed to Nick or Nicholas IRL or here or wherever my first name is used.

I'm just pretty particular when it comes to my name, I guess, for example I don't mind being called Nick so long as people understand that my full name is actually Nicholas, which is how I sign my name and whatnot.

I been through at least 4 nicknames throughout the years all mostly from school. Had a dumb nickname in daycare for a couple of years which was dumb but whatever. Freshman year of high school i used Cheater Clause for lolz and from 8th grade of middle school all the way till the end of High School people called me LT cause I'm was football jock and had the build and position of LT the football player also LT is my middle initial and last name initial. Nowadays not alot of people call me LT since I been outta high school for about 5 years now and folks just address me by a short variation of my name or my gamertag Gamegenie since I've been using it since 07.

Nicknames have never been a thing for me IRL.

Even online, people never really called me by different names besides Liquid. Liq and Liqqy are the only others I can think of.

And, of course, the Smashboards-born Rikuedo, but that's about it.

On the subject of nicknames, I've never really had any in real life or on the internet. For the most part it's usually just someone calling me by a shorthand of my online name, like Zan on Smashboards or Kai on Youtube.

I know that feeling. My name in real life is Hunter, which fortunately can't be messed around with too much.

Unfortunately it leads to everyone asking the "totally original and hilarious" question of whether or not I'm actually a hunter (which I am not fyi).

How many people ask you if you are a hunter? Or are you just exaggerating? Most people aren't superstitious enough to believe in correlations between names and lifestyle.

I don't have an actual number, but I've been asked enough times to where it annoys me.

And it's not that they're necessarily superstitious, it's more that they think its funny question to ask me.

That must be very irritating. It's one thing for someone to pronounce your name wrong and another to repeatedly do it on purpose. I find jokes like that very sub par. It's just the idea of "I saw one funny joke in a video, if I repeat it over and over I'll be funny too." Part of the reason why might just be because I'm constantly out of the loop but I digress.

I think someone might have translated it before on this thread, I remember seeing this image on this board in the past. I don't feel like searching through pages to find it. Smash boards loads slow-ish for me.
