Image is broken but I know what you are referring too. And yeah, most likely is her death scene, which I'd have to guess would happen on the Hoshido route. This realization is actually make me feel rather horrible, with the likely hood of her (and Sakura on the Nohr route) really hitting me harder than the possibility of other character deaths. Mostly because I have younger siblings...

That is a bold-ass statement to make about a game that isn't even out yet.

this is like if valve, after all these years released a ****ty mobile game and calling it half life 3.

How? The game doesn't have a 4 in its title, it isn't directly continuing the story from where Metroid Prime 3 stopped (to our current knowledge at least). It's probably going to be a simple spin-off title that will be released in order to expand upon the Galactic Federation's role in the Metroid universe, a very underdeveloped element of the series' lore. Would I have preferred a Metroid Prime 4 or new 2.5-D Metroid? Absolutely, but this game's existence doesn't mean we won't get that. In fact, going off of the more recent interviews, it seems this game is leading up to one of those two things (probably the former).

Also, while there are quite a few differences between this scenario and the one I'm about to mention, the last time I recall fans getting this angry over a new Metroid game was at E3 2001...That led to one of the greatest games ever made.

Well, one of the 5 confirmed "neutral" characters (aka, is on both routes) is a nina, who promotes to a Puppetmaster.

Speaking of which, am I the only one who is kinda miffed that 4 of those 5 have Nohr classes, being a Bulter, a Maid, an Great Knight, and a Cavalier? I really hope there are going to be a couple more neutral characters with Hoshido classes to even things out, or at the very least have those 4 be able to reclass into at least 1 tree of Hoshido classes.

I don't know about that. Nah was ranked second to last of the female Awakening kids at this popularity poll. Unless Hoshido is getting the lowest voted Awakening kids, then expect lookalikes of Nah, Kjelle, Yarne, and Laurent.

I do agree that the reaction to Federation Forces is a bit over-exaggerated, though I can't say I blame them. Hell, I was pretty salty once I saw the reveal but I'm over it now.

Expectations are extremely high after Other M's polarizing existence, and especially so when this new game bears the name Metroid Prime in the title, which is considered in very high regard. Not having a Metroid game in 5 years (or 8 years for a good Metroid game) doesn't help either.

Honestly, I think the negative reaction is more so because of the way it was presented. The Troopers are all chibi-like and everything looks so colorful and it just doesn't mix with the art style and atmosphere that Metroid has created throughout the years. That soccer game, or whatever it is, also feels like it was slapped into Metroid for no reason as well.

It doesn't look, nor feel like a Metroid game to many, and I think that's where all the negativity is mostly coming from. If they had announced that a main Metroid game is being worked on as well, I think things wouldn't have been as negative.

I don't hate the game but I don't like it either. I'm pretty ambivalent on it, but I do understand where the hate comes from.

I think it's because of Dancing all Night that people had that stigma of Persona. Because the Arena games and Q didn't do all of that despite being spinoffs.

I just want some damn neutral characters who are Hoshido specific classes. All the ones right now are Nohr, so it will be nice to know if I'll both routes will get the same variety of unit types.
