Many people learned how to play against MK, so here are some things I learned from my past tournament experience.
1. The more you use tornado and the more you use shuttle loop, the better your chances are to win the match.
2. Downsmashing is what your opponent watches out for, and tries to space out of MK's downsmash range, and with F-tilt x 2, can help land a downsmash much more safely. Basically don't be predictable with downsmash.
3. Learn to do grounded up-b's out of shields, tilts out of shield, smashes out of shield.
4. Use the tornado wisely, its more effective to use tornado on platform stages so you can drop down on the platform sooner using rising tornado.
5. Keep on attacking your opponent that is off the ledge, don't be scared that you won't be able to make it back to the stage, MK has enough jumps and can use Drill Rush, or tornado to make it back to the stage.
