I've seen wierd playsytle gimicks like marths who f-smash on ys lower platforms and a luigi player who side-b edge cancels.

Some stuff I do
Luigi- sh fair double jump onto a platform to cross them up

Falcon-c-stick cc buffer to dd camp people like pikachu and wd back up-tilt against puff when forced into a corner.

Fox-not nair

Pichu- shupairwl. f-smash through marth's fair

Ice climbers- respawn ice block dy-synce make nana charge a smash to cover retreating an chase with popo

Zedla-side-b for hard platform tech chase reads

Wierd things You don't see people do that might help

Doc up-B glitch. It is a 3 frame move that can continue combos and be done out of a dash and out of shield, and is invincible on frame 3. It stops shield pressure as long as the target is in front of or inside Doc. It reaches a character length away and a bit above his head.

As Falcon, sometimes while on the ledge and the opponent if recovery offstage, (usually characters like peach) I wall jump of the ledge and aerial and no one expects it.

C-stick is asdi so it's a weaker cc and the stick can buffer d-throw so yeah it's basically ccing but the strongest cc is to be ducking before the attack and not attack Yourself till after.

But what are the hip new tends? Do people use pharses like You mirror mayor or no need to be a sour sucker?

I think up and side specials have more utility than people give them credit for. But your examples are possibly the worst ones to pick so I can see why they feel that way.

In general I think people undervalue dash cancel, don't bother to learn how to tech chase, tend to focus on improving things that are secondary goals rather than learning the main thing(s) that beat the opponent hardest, and don't understand the importance of the momentum shift that wavedashing exerts on your next dash for movement and positioning.

I really could go on forever with this topic so I'm gonna cut it short.

Yeah Velocity does Upb cancel all the time I've been playing him for a few months and I've only ever seen him miss it maybe 2 times.
Super consistent. It's always hype when he does it. He killed the moon with it once. New Doc metagame.
