So just a post that reminds me why I'm not a developer XD, But Would be nice if she got the down b invincibility upon jumping and for 1 Frame when she does the kick for that extra sex appeal would make people like MK stop challenging Dem Legs .

I think Zero Suit should be her own character this time around, she is Samus, but she's a different version of Samus, plus she is not a clone and if there can be a Link and Toon Link, then I don't see why not have two different versions of Samus on the roster.

I would like to see Ridley, but I have to see Zero Suit first since she's the returning character and yes I think Metroid could have three character spots especially if Starfox can have three.

I see where you're coming from, but Link and Toon Link are two different people believe it or not. Samus and Zero Suit are the same exact person, from the same exact universe and time period. Making them two different characters would be a little confusing. I wouldn't mind it, but it's not realistic.

I bet you anything that if Other M had been released BEFORE feminism took over media and people's minds, the general public wouldn't complain about Samus's portayal at all.

What about if she does have daddy issues? Maybe you too would have that if your parents werre murdered. People seem to think of Samus as a cold blooded, invincible tank who all (the favourite words in the west comes here now) "kick ass" and "bad ass". Just as Japanese people are obsessed with kawaii in their culture, the US and western Europe are obsessed with "kick ass" and "bad ass". If a character doesn't live up to that, it's a bad and weak character.

I see nothing wrong with Sakamoto's writing. As a matter of fact, it was occasionally very deep and I liked controversial (but at the same time psychological) events like Adam shooting Samus to protect her from her own "I can do everything because I want to" ego. I also love Adam's character, maybe even more so than Samus's.

Other suffered greatly from two things in its reception:

1) The old fan base who are obsessed with the story and went nuts when Other M made new interpretations of things "set in stone".

2) Feminism

I'm dead serious. And how was it awful? I sometimes hear people say that, but few can actually give concrete examples except "ohh, thumbs down, how corny" or making fun "the baby". But they don't make fun of the drama queen acting in Uncharted and The Last of Us, or the endless grunting in Gears of War.

Here's the thing about Other M: it's controversial. It doesn't focus on Samus's strentgh, but rather her weaknesses (which makes it much more interesting IMO). It puts Adam, her superior, in the authority role while the old fanbase was used to see Samus as the one in charge. The voice actor of Samus is sometimes a bit stiff, but that has nothing to do with Sakamoto's masterful writing.

Many people also jump on the hate train - they have never played Other M, but they've seen what opinion elites in media are saying, and they simply join popular opinion instead of creating their own.

Other M didn't follow feminism rules, but that doesn't mean the writing was bad. Adam doesn't "abuse" Samus, he's very protective of her. But he's also a harsh commander who does not let his motions interfere with the mission.

Other M's story's real problem is that it didn't work with the game. In Super Metroid and ever the chattier ones like Metroid Prime 3 and Fusion the game didn't stop to play a movie.

But I digress, I hope Zamus is revealed soon. The theory going around is that all vets from a series are revealed before any newcomers so the sooner Zamus appears hopefully the sooner Ridley does.

I'm one of those guys that thinks both Samus and Zero Suit Samus can be separated from each other. At let both versions of Samus have their own slot on the character select screen. That way it's easier for people to pick the version of Samus they are better with.

But I wouldn't be surprised if no changes are made. No other characters have a final Smash that changes the fighting style. But I'd like to keep them separate so that someone can use Samus for a whole match without avoiding the Smash Ball, or trying to get two in a row.

I got to say ZSS and Sonic are two characters that got me interested in the Smash Bros Series in the first place. I doubt they would replace her, and they had her in the original artwork thing they tweeted before E3 2013. But I don't see Ridley working as a playable character, and if they made Ridley, it would be a huge target, have awkward and floaty physics, and either be completely OP or the worst character in the game.

I hope she's in Smash 4, she's such a fun character to play as.

Her project M 3.00 moveset is brilliant. Her sideB pulls people towards her, her F-smash is much faster, her Down-air is designed to pop them up for combos, she has a shorter shorthop, faster fall speed, no silly armor pieces, and her paralyzer shots can be canceled into a dash instantly. And her tethers can't get edge hogged. Also she has her own spots the character select menu.

It is fairly common to get 40% off of a single continuous combo with her if you know how to link moves and follow your opponent well. everything goes so fast and combos so well. It is loads of fun. (Give it a try, you'll like it)

but I am unsure if smash 4 will have the mechanics needed to make that kind of heavily combo based gameplay possible. Hopefully it allows for speedier gameplay, she really benefits from stuff like L canceling to speed up her aerials and lengthen combos.

in brawl you can select Zero suit by selecting Samus and then holding R (on a GameCube controller) from the character select screen. That's how to get her at the start of a match. You can make a CPU be zero suit by hooking up a controller to the same port as the CPU and doing the same thing.

Since I doubt they'll go back in time and use her Super Metroid or Metroid Fusion outfit (pre-Zero Suit era), it's either Brawl or Other M (Prime 2 & 3 didn't show off her model in full, did they?).

If you get 100% in Prime 2 and 3, ZSS will appear in the ending. I completely agree with you. I feel her Brawl model is better than the Other M model (nothing against the game, I just dislike how her model looks) however I can see the Other M model getting in but with a couple of design tweaks similar to SSB4 power suit. I would prefer it if SSB4's ZSS model is closer to Brawl's than Other M, but I doubt it.

Wha? She was more shapely in brawl, just look at her breasts. The only thing different with the other m design is her longer legs and more realistic torso length.

I'm fine with her other m zero suit, it looks great and the two tone colors of blue have a better overall look.

I don't agree with her being separated from regular samus though, what they need to do is make it do she can change at will like she can in her games. Just map the change to a taunt, boom done. And she could get a new final smash, but I think if they do what I said before she could just get the one beam and change into regular samus the moment it's initiated.

No, she wasn't. Her Zero Suit had boob slots in Brawl, which may have made them to look bigger than in Other M, but I don't think they were bigger at all. And Other M ZSS had a curvy/Kim Kardashian butt:

In Brawl, she had a gymnast's body, which is how she's supposed to look like. Tight and toned. In Other M, she had a big butt. Samus isn't supposed to be curvy. Her butt isn't supposed to be big and her thighs aren't supposed to be thick.

I think it was wonderful. I don't get all the hate for it. I seriously don't get it. Maybe the voice actor sounded a little too dead and robotic sometimes, but apart from that I have no problems with the script.
