I tend to have a lot of trouble with Little Mac and Ness with Fox, any tips?

I used Zelda for every match. I think I burned myself out in For Glory but man this game is fun. Wifi is amazing this time around other than the occasional player with a walmart connection.

Mine is currently atrocious; in my more recent matches, I've either been edging out victories or getting the opponent to around kill percentages before taking one hit too many (usually the latter).

About 15 or so of those losses was because I was experimenting with some characters. Truth be told, I'm debatting resetting cause of that.

I'm not very good, a few of my wins were against people I didn't think I could beat but did after a few games of getting my ass whooped. My record is 27-33, 9 of those wins were against a really bad Little Mac though.

I'm about 50/50, with some of the losses resulting from severe lag or move spammers/trolls.

The ratio is cool and all, but I will usually suicide to end the match in matches with severe lag or I'm facing someone who obviously is trolling or is spamming hardcore. I know this hurts my ratio, but I play to have fun, not deal with that BS.

Apparently I'm at 40%. I really hate to be that guy but I'm putting a good chunk of the blame on the lag and apparently my inability to get use to the Circle Pad. Far too many times I swear I was pointing in the right direction only to wind up doing a Forward + B instead of going up. I still like to game of course but I can't wait to play it with a real controller.

I've been playing Smash since 1999 and since then I've learned that this game is best played with a joystick and no lag. The circle pad is just not ideal for a game like this. Not that I can't adjust, it's just annoying.

I think it's a very real problem, excuses aside. I've also had the issue of accidentally using my side-b rather than my hydropump when attempting to recover. Also, it's rather difficult to consistently pull of shorthopped aerials on a circle pad as opposed to a proper c-stick. The GC stick has little notches arranged in an octagon shape that helps stablize the stick when pushed as opposed to the completely circular shape of the 3DS.

So far 98 wins 23 losses with some character switches occasionally. Loving the way Bowser works now, but the lag can be brutal at times. Think I've been DC'd from around 12-15 matches now, but its mostly lag free which is nice compared to the fiasco that was Brawl.

I could make excuses about how many matches I gave up because of lag, matches I lost because I SD'd and the like, but I'll just give the current data as is.

Yeah I know most people will have higher win percents than me but still anything above 50% is good in my opinion. I think I'm doing well!

For Glory winrate is currently at about 25% in 200 matches. Whenever I get paired against someone better than me, I keep playing them until they leave. Sometimes I'll beat them once or twice, most times I rack up 10-20 losses before they get bored.

I really feel like their should be a limit to 3 matches against whoever you are playing against in for glory before it makes you rotate to another player which would make the win ratio's more baselined for all players. As it is I consider for glory more of just a way to play with stat tracking than with actual skill tracking.

Anyone who has played for glory has probably noticed that if you are really going for good records all you have to do is leave whenever you come accross someone who is clearly better. Not just equal but just plain out is countering you for whatever reason because there are plenty of players who aren't that great at smash that you will get paired with and then staying paired with baddy's for as long as possible.

In any case with over 200 matches I'm sitting with 66% which fell quite a bit after staying to do many matches against a really good Marth and a truly amazing jiggly puff.

Last 100 matches 73% last 10 matches 80%

I really only play for glory even if I'm trying a new character because I find better players playing for glory and wouldn't want to learn to play a new character using tactics that only work against bad players. (even though there are plenty of bad players in for glory). I don't know how the match making system works but even with I was at 90%+ it still seemed to have just about the same chance to group me with someone bad as good so I decided to just stay in matches whether they were good or bad.
