Eagles' had the longest run, but I think that Thriller recently reclaimed that "honor."

I will not post in quiz form, rather I present to you a small collection of my some of my favorite miscellaneous knowledge that will delight and hopefully surprise!

Did you know?

Alaska is the easternmost state in the US?

Rhythm is the longest word in the English language without an A, E, I, O or U?

The first album ever released in CD format was Billy Joel's 52nd Street?

The richest sports franchise in the world is the Dallas Cowboys?

Giraffes have the same number of vertebrae in their necks as humans?

Keith Moon, the greatest rockstar EVER, and Mama Cass Elliot both died in the same bed in the same hotel room (on separate occasions of course)?

Ah that's all I can think of for now, hopefully more will come to me soon ^-^

I'm not understanding that Alaska thing. I must be missing something.

Did you mean westernmost, meaning it's further west than Hawaii?

Negative sir, apparently some of the islands in Alaska cross the International Dateline, making them the Easternmost part of the US.

I heard this from some kid who was in a geography bee, so I assumed it's valid. Although looking at the map you have, the line juts out to accommodate said islands, so maybe this is no longer trivia and in fact now merely misinformation :\

Ah I see what you were getting at now. But yeah, I had always thought that the Date Line accomodated those areas, in the same way that time zones don't follow straight lines down the country.

Yeah I checked Wiki, and it says that it does fit inside the line.

I hope the kid who told me that lost the geography bee...

The dateline was moved around it, meaning it's time zone is constant over that area, but some of the islands are in the Eastern hemisphere. It is the most Western, Northern and Eastern state.

Longitude: 130°W to 172°E
