For a while now, other people and I have been using old posts in the SSB4 Discussion Thread to hide projects of ours, known as workplaces. Only an elite group of us do it, and I won't share any details on the grounds that our secrets shall be discovered.
Well I was working on my workplace on fine summer evening, and when I tried to access my workplace from my favorite's tab... it was gone. Furthermore, all of the posts that were on the page that it was on were gone.
I was confused for a moment... so I decided to type in some keywords that were in my workplace to find it. I searched, and strangely the results showed it was still there. I clicked on the result that would lead to my workplace, and it sent me back TO THE VERY SAME PAGE I WAS ON BEFORE, WITH ALL POSTS GONE.
I decided to request the help of one of my associates and fellow workplace smuggler, MasterWarlord. He and the other seasoned equestrians participating in intelligent discussion in our chatroom also found this situation strange. He decided to input a brilliant mathematical equation into the address bar to see if he could find my lost workplace.
Indeed, he did, the brilliant chap. I then was relieved to discover my workplace intact, but there still was the question of why I get a different page when I click any link to it besides directly linking me to a "View Single Post". I took this time to investigate.
I noticed that the post number on the workplace and the post numbers on the different page do not match up, and that in fact the page that I get redirected to when I try to click a link to my workplace (or any other post I've made in there, even non-workplace posts) had posts with post numbers higher than my workplace's post number.
Using this inference, I decided to go to previous pages to find my workplace in thread form. Sure enough, it was two pages back from the page that the searches say it is on.
Now that this case is solved, I need your help in solving another case.
When I try to go to the last page of the SSB4 thread, it does take me to the latest posts, but by looking at the page numbers, there are two extra "invisible" pages that send me nowhere.
Visual proof. That was screencapped at 11:59 PM, thirty minutes ago.
WHAT THE **** IS HAPPENING TO ME?
