Yeah he seemed ok, once i explained and credited him a few times he said thanks. So i hope its cool, as an artist myself i can definitely understand where hes coming from, if i could have edited his name in the original tweet i would. But i definitely had no idea it would blow up like that, none of the others i posted did, if he had put his signiture on it id have known where to look for him. It was crazy though, when i looked at my phone i had something like 60 email notifications. Hopefully it means good things for us snake supporters in the end though, thats really all i meant to do with it

As ive been seeing the retweets you can expect we also get many unfavorable ones such as the ever popular "only if they bring mgs5 to wiiu" or "im glad hes gone" (by josh from the bit block), and everything in between. But besides that the positive outweighs the negative, and we are sure to have many more snake votes when all is said and done.

I can't believe people still make that argument, Ryu being in nullifies it completely. There is no SFV on wii u, and he's getting in. Hell, wii u didn't even get sf4 ultra, and that was on 360ps3.

If Ryu actually becomes a thing, every anti-Snake argument is nullified because Ryu certainly hasn't had SF games on Nintendo for years and muhpromotion on other consoles applies to him too.

Street FIghter hasn't had a game on a Nintendo Platform in awhile the last game was SF43D i think, but if Ryu got in wouldnt there be enough 3rd Parties as is?

There will be 2 Capcom reps and then here will come the Sonic Fans bombarding them with Sonic Characters!

Yeah Guys im back and im gonna be as active as ever see the reason why i left it all started way back in September i fell in love and that caused me not to be as active.. ok.. later on i fell in love again and ive been more focused on love than anything this year! I decided i wanted to come back and specualte and hype with you guys the Nintedo Digital Event like we all did last year. Anybody remember this threads heartbreak? Awhh... the memories i cherish. I'm in exactly the same boat. My friends all voted for Roy. They think I'm an idiot for voting Snake. It's just... Not fair he was cut. I guess I can understand the Ice Climbers being cut if they don't jive with the 3DS, but seriously, Snake is one of only a few characters that haven't returned. It really baffled me that he didn't, as well. With Snake Eater returning on the 3DS, I really thought he would be a returning veteran. He had such a unique playstyle! I personally think the smash poll slot should be used on a character with a really unique set of attacks. Inkling, Rayman, Wonder-Red... The only fighter I think is really different in playstyle from the rest of the cast is Mewtwo. Watching good players do Mewtwo or Snake dittos look much different than other characters fighting. So much variety.

I guess I really just don't understand the people that scoff at Snake being put back in. Go watch a good Snake ditto like the money match between Rolex and Prof. Pro. It's videos like that that make me wish he was back in. God, I'm going to be so depressed if he doesn't make it back. My friends will be gloating about it for the next five years...

I wish you were right but, sadly, you're not.

It is all directed at Snake. Why? Because, people want Bomberman, Simon Belmont, or pretty much any other character besides Snake simply for the fact that he's "Too Realistic".

He was in the game before, so, you are right about him having a really solid shot at coming back.

I was going by logic not bias which almost every character has.

Ryu has that with Ace Attorney, Monster Hunter and Viewtiful Joe fans who think their character is worth more than Ryu

was the worst at it. Especially Klonoa and Lloyd fans who thought their character meant more than a gaming icon.

Even then I want both Snake and Simon Belmont and if Snake doesn't come back then I want Simon to take his place

Everyone will keep saying that Snake doesn't fit or muhrelevenacy or muhcommonsense to say how his chances have plummeted.

Of course, these are factually untrue, but it doesn't stop them from doing so anyway.

Not surprising given he pushed for him in Smash in the first place.

Snake is by far the one veteran I miss most in Smash. IMO, he did not deserve the axe in SSB4 and I would go ballistic if he were to make a triumphant return. Metal Gear is such a fantastic franchise that I bear much love for, with Metal Gear Solid being my favorite installment.

I do wonder if he'll still retain the slightly composite design from Brawl or receive an updated one? Either way, please put me down as a supporter for Snake, I love this guy, Hayter and the wonderful content from MGS that Smash was blessed to have in the series.

I fail see how Ryu making it smash will do any of that you guys seem to think Ryu getting in will automatically pave the way for snake to get in he won't. Considering that Capcom is supporting Nintendo far more than Konami is at the moment Ryu getting into smash doesn't surprise me,and although street fighter series hasn't had many games on Nintendo consoles. It's quite convenient how you people forget that Ryu has appeared on Nintendo consoles through crossovers. Simply because Ryu gets in doesn't mean he is promoting Street Fighter V he could be used to promote Project X zone 2.

Why do people just assume Smash exists to advertise other games?

I fail see how Ryu making it smash will do any of that you guys seem to think Ryu getting in will automatically pave the way for snake to get in he won't. Considering that Capcom is supporting Nintendo far more than Konami is at the moment Ryu getting into smash doesn't surprise me,and although street fighter series hasn't had many games on Nintendo consoles. It's quite convenient how you people forget that Ryu has appeared on Nintendo consoles through crossovers. Simply because Ryu gets in doesn't mean he is promoting Street Fighter V he could be used to promote Project X zone 2.

Oh, really, Capcom is REALLY supporting Nintendo! Indeed, I see the once Gamecube-exlusive Resident Evil game on my W...forget about it, it's everywhere else except Wii U. But we have Street Fighter V...nope, neighter it. At least we have that Mega Man 1-8 collection that are the VC ones for a little price...nope, just for 3DS MOUNTHS after the PS4/XONE/PC relase.
Really, the only things that Capcom is making for Nintendo are Ace Attorney (which doesn't sell on any other console) and Monster Hunter (which, being a game that need millions of players, is on the most sell console as for now: the 3DS. If that console was the Vita, they wouldn't put it on the 3DS. Besides, if they really wants to help Nintendo, they could always put MH on the Wii U, but they aren't).
Konami may have not been the best supporter for the Wii U, but it has been great for the 3DS (MGS3D, PES, Dr. Launtrec, Castelvania, Love Plus...), especially when it had problems to became a success. Besides this, Konami is now in bad waters. In this last 3 years they have released less than 10 games, and they are almost quitting the console gaming for mobile.
And Snake could be used for promote MGS3D, but Sakurai himself confirmed that Smash isn't about advertising Nintendo, it is about celebrating it and what it have done in gaming. And Konami was a huge part of its history during the NES, SNES and N64 ages. They deserve a rep (way more than SEGA, who tried to kill Nintendo in the past with some slogan like "Genesis does what Nintendon't!").
