The latest Z-A rumor is that there’ll be a hefty 27 new Mega Evolutions

As always take it with a grain of salt, but that’d be radical.

That sounds about right. Didn't they add about that many in X/Y and then in ORAS? They should give Stoutland and Staraptor Megas.

I actually hope they DON'T do too many for two stage evos, they should just get regular evolutions. IMO. Like Houndoom's for sure could've been a regular evolution.

Sonic Lost World + Zavok's Fury

Honestly a Sonic game in the Bowser's Fury style would be SO rad. Though I do hope we get appearances from the other D6 in such a game. If I don't get to see more of Zeena being her awesome suave self, I think my body will shut down.

Widely considered a return to form, how is Sonic Mania? Personally, I love it! Loads of fun zones both old and new which never seem to overstay their welcome to me (Except Oil Ocean Act 2 who thought that was even remotely ok). There's 3 characters, 5 if we count DLC, and they all feel super fun to play with their own quirks despite the very simple controls and ease of getting into the game. Sonic's Drop Dash lets you keep movinf forward, Tails has his flight to give him an easier time exploring, Knuckles is pretty much hard mode while also seeing a couple different routes or stages, Ray has the Super Mario World Cape and Mighty's immune to spikes when curled up and has a stomp! There's loads of fun secrets to find and the special stages are truly some of the best in the series. Also, if you have the DLC, you get Encore Mode which is a bit harder, look different but has a real neat mechanic where you can swap between 2 characters back and forth, though you only get 1 life per character lol. All in all, I had a lovely time with this, one of the first Switch games I bought. Truly, a great game I cannot recommend enough

With the exception of Sonic Heroes and Riders, most of my Sonic intake came from the 2D game compilations growing up, so Sonic Mania is, naturally, my jam. I love how they expanded on the 2D Sonic formula with new moves, clever expansions on classic zones and just being a perfect example of what 2D Sonic games should be. ALSO AND KNUCKLES MODE

You joke but honestly a Watchog mega would kinda rule. As someone who roots for the underdog, Watchog is a mon I feel bad for with how screwed over it is with its stat spread and just how little it's appeared in future regions. I'd love to see it get something new.

I thought it might have had something to do with how the official soundtrack was released but no, the official soundtrack released in one package (and has more songs than we are getting with Nintendo Music)

Looking it up, there’s actually two CD releases for the game in Japan: a Sound Selection, and the Complete Soundtrack.

Nintendo Music is using the Sound Selection minus 10 songs.

I also assume this is because of the game’s three year anniversary like with Pokémon Legends Arceus in January.
