For myself. Might go down to the social group which is having a Halloween party. Following night going to just be watching Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow and handing candy out to trick or treaters.

Next year thinking of dressing up as a vampire. Did so when I was a kid, it'd bring back some good memories.

If I ever have a reason to do anything other than hand out candy to kids, I might dress as Circus Baby. But till that day comes...

Halloween isn’t really a holiday for me anymore because

I’m an adult who still lives with their parents. And contrary to what the media stereotypes would have you believe, no I do not have the freedom to do whatever I want. My parents still treat me like their child and expect me to also be an adult at the same time without giving me the freedom to expand in the limited space I have. I need to meet their standards exclusively. With a roommate there would be compromise but since they’re my parents it’s their way and only that even though I’m a legal adult and I’m any other setting would be allowed to set my own schedules and and get things done when I observe them and feel they need to. Or at the very least there would be a dialogue. There would be back and forth discussion. There would be compromise, and if there wasn’t I’d get out of there. But I can’t get out of there because I don’t know if you know this but prices for dwellings are very very high these days and I don’t exactly have friends to split the bill with. I did have one but she moved to Colorado to be in gay polyamorous heaven. Even if I got a job as a cog in the machine it would never pay enough for me to have my own place because it’s not the 80s anymore! These aren’t just excuses these are facts of reality. You can’t just tell my I’m making excuses and not motivated enough when the world is literally impossible to live in unless you go it alone and the people who are supposed to provide me unconditional love and support just see me as a financial burden. I’m sorry but you’re the ones with actual jobs in your fields, and what’s more then that you’re passionate about those fields! Do you understand how lucky you are to have that! That isn’t a result of just you working hard you won a really substantial life living lottery in terms of who you are and what your circumstances are. Even if you did have to deliver pizzas. And it would be so great to be actually able to tell my parents any of this and actually have them listen without them just getting mad and turning it back to the same old bull**** outdated points!

So… yeah… I don’t really get to do much on Halloween except hand out candy to kids because I have… other obligations.

I'm mostly gonna be passing out candy to trick-or-treaters and watching horror movies with my family. It's what we usually do, if we pass out candy at all (we skipped a few years because of COVID).

Fun fact: There is a trophy of Tamagon from Devil World in Smash Melee. You can get it by normal means in the Japan built but a cheat device is needed to get it in the overseas build (and it incorrectly calls the game "Demon World")

Noteworthy NES games by Nintendo still missing on the service include Urban Champion, Mach Rider, Zoda's Revenge: StarTropics II, & Yoshi's Cookie (though there's likely legal issues with the last one)

Oh wow. This is one of the best updates they've come out with.

Musasame Castle being freed again is nice, especially since it'll come with the replay feature. I struggle to think of a harder game that Nintendo has released. I think the farthest I've ever gotten without Save States is the 2nd Castle.

Devil World isn't nothing special, but it's nice that it's finally coming stateside after being stuck in JP/PAL for so long.

Castlevania Legends I've heard is pretty mediocre, but as it is both rare/expensive and hasn't been re-released before (to my knowledge), this is very good news for accessibility. I know it's non-canon, but is this the only game in the series with a female whip-welding Belmont clansmember?

Like cost of living gone up dramatically and companies keep giving less than the bare minumum for pay so nobody can really afford a new home or anything. Take it from me, another adult living with his parents, heck I got a place lined up for me to move out to and I still can't afford to move there

I wouldn't say it's usual anymore. At least I don't know any of my Friends who didn't live with their parents for a set period of time.

Personally after college, I lived with my parents for 4 years before I moved out. I was able to pay off both my Student Loans and my Auto Loan thanks to that and get a small apartment without needing a roommate (did that in college, NEVER AGAIN). I don't have a job that really uses my Degree though.
