Iron Valiant has a lot of options. You can physical, special, or mixed, with whatever move choices work best for you or your team. It is a lot of flexibility.

I doubt it's a bug, how Area Zero works. I assume they don't want you doing co-op in there for whatever reason. Still, the way spawns work is super wonky thanks to the fact you can't see anyone.

Oh, I actually decided to start over from scratch since I think I wasted too much time (and Pikmin ) figuring out how things worked. Now I'm back at the Forest Navel with 10 ship parts collected on Day 4 compared to the six or so by Day 9 on my original file, and with a much healthier army of Pikmin to boot.

I'd assume it works in the sense that while Area Zero has it disabled, every player shares the same Area Zero, so while you can't interact with other players, they all have to share the same space and spawns. It would probably be easier to code than forcefully disconnecting the Union Circle when someone entered Area Zero.

Nice! And I don't blame you, managing time in the first Pikmin game is difficult for virtually every new player, even those who played one of the newer games first. I know I had a far worse fail by the first time I tried playing it lol.
