Eh. Action is the best season of the main series and I stand by that. It just feels like everything Total Drama is supposed to be - fair balance of drama and wholesomeness, great challenges, funny jokes, and a fresh (ha) and unique setting.

That said, Ridonculous Race is the best Total Drama entry overall and it's not even close

Hey, I've already started. What could go wrong if you start too?

Also your profile picture compliments your response a little too well.

I think for a lot of people it depends on how they feel about Courtney and the Duncney ship as a whole. I for one find Courtney extremely entertaining and I think Duncney is one of the best ships of its kind (at least before World Tour ruined it lol), so as a result Action is an incredibly fun ride for me. However, Courtney has a sizable hatedom who find her utterly obnoxious, so understandably a season where she's a huge presence is gonna be a hard sell for those people.

Courtneying aside, I do see Action's flaws. Beth is a pretty meh protagonist, Lindsay's elimination was a load of hogwash and Trent got positively crapped on in episode 5. But I think if you look past those flaws and you can stomach Courtney's antics, you'll find yourself enjoying it a LOT.

Besides ain't no way Total Drama could go any lower than All-Stars :250:

No you’re right, All Stars is definitely at the bottom.

IMO the first season started us off on a good note, the second season was still fun but it got a little wonky in it’s attempt to innovate, while World Tour is the series really coming into its own. The characters, the challenges, the relationship drama, it feels like the culmination of everything they’d learned up to that point.

That's what I assume was going through FreshTV's heads when they decided to make Beth a focus in Action. Duncan was more of an anti-hero.

You're definitely right in that World Tour shows a lot of what Fresh had learned over past seasons.

My problem with it, beyond my personal issues with the infamous love triangle, is mostly the whole thing with Cody and Sierra and Gwen, that whole thing made me cringe several hundred times over. Also the last few minutes of the finale was a whole dumpster fire...:239:

Ridonculous Race has the same world-trotting focus as WT, but without the intense love triangle drama, weird stalkery stuff, and it actually has a good ending. That's why I think it's the best Total Drama installment overall
