Apparently, Alpharad has quite a lot of influence - I came back from work to find out that Fraymakers passed three stretch goals (a second additional character, super attacks, and getting Alpharad and Tomamoto as announcers) in about five hours, after he made a video about it.

They've also added a stretch goal for a Switch port, though presumably, any console ports would either lack the MUGEN-like customization or be extremely limited in that regard. Still, I assume that the base game, with the two or three additional characters, is still going to be solid.

Yes, Alpharad is pretty huge. He has 2.28 million subscribers.

My question is that what makes Alpharad unique from other gaming channels? Is he just more of a fan of Nintendo games rather than viral games, which a lot aren't Nintendo?

He was very important to the Smash 4 scene when it came to creating content.

I don't think there is anyone as influental as he was.

Basically, it's very similar to the Super Mario RPG song, "Beware the Forest's Mushrooms". It plays in the area where you first meet "he-who-must-not-be-named".
In other words, everybody's freaking out and really trying not to get their hopes up as it could just be a title and not a reference to the song.

Especially when you consider Nintendo only recently copy right striker Beware the forest mushrooms and fight against an armed boss when they copy righted Megalovania uploads before Sans. So it’s a very intriguing pice of smash info to show up especially when the game awards are so close and we could easily see a reveal there.

Yes, it can be a reference to a requested character that hasn't been revealed yet... but isn't this a really weird way and place to tease a newcomer? If this is intentional, it's probably a fun reference than anything.

It's been long speculated for awhile.

Just like Steve, right around the time of TGAs were going on, there was ****ery with the Spirit Event/Tournament numbering, namely, just like what happened with Steve, events got moved up from when they were supposed to.

For all intents and purposes, if you believe that Steve was delayed to coincide with Minecon and that the moved Spirit/Tournies are proof of it, then the exact same thing happened in December. Byleth was, for all intents and purposes, meant to come out in December.

I think something to boost your theory is December has Christmas, so this would have helped boost sales for not only Smash, but Three Houses as well.

The thing about Byleth at The 2019 Game Awards is that Byleth isn't as hard hitting as say Joker or Steve.

There is evidence that Steve was planned for 2019 E3, where a huge audience could see the Steve trailer.

Considering that Byleth fit in with the Ashen Wolves DLC trailer for Three Houses, I think it could be likely that they decided to release Byleth in January.

Maybe they never planned to put a character in The 2019 Game Awards.

But I'm not saying that Byleth was never planned for The 2019 Game Awards, I am just mentioning some roadblocks.

What does help Shroob's theory was that it was close to Christmas, the Game Awards tends to have a huge audience, and they did reveal Palutena at 2014 E3, while Pac-Man was revealed behind doors.

You can criticize video games and companies that made them without dunking on its fans or developers. I don't think enough people know this.

Agreed. Chances are, the dudes and chicks who draw, design, program and compose for your favorite games probably aren't the same as the suits that shut down events.

Still, if the actions of said suits are that much of an issue, I completely understand if someone drops their support until they address these issues or make amends in some fashion.

Hell none of the heroes are here, except our good friend Eldrick. This implies the image was made long in advance to celebrate the anniversary. And would explain why we kept here Ederick. This also supports Caco Mallow and proves that specific promotional materials are likely made in advance. So I wonder if this means that is true, and maybe we finally see Geno or Doom Guy. The later making a lot of sense for a game awards reveal.

Honestly, I am at a weird moment in Smash.

Like Steve being in is just peak Smash. There will be awesome reveals within the last four DLC characters of Ultimate, but it won't be as much as Steve for me.
