Don't worry he's fine

He got into a brawl with some local Yakuza members last night and accidentally burned down a Kirby Cafe

He's also doing vocal warmups and practices for his YT debut so he can accomplish his quest to become the most garbage Vtuber ever

So I started reading the Monogatari light novels which begins with Kizumonogatari.

The first couple of chapters were a bit odd (don't want to go into specifics but it's a high school anime cliche that I don't exactly find enjoyment out of as a grown ass man...and they just rambled on about it) but the style of writing and narration is pretty addicting. It's also nice to have a little more context for some of the events that I've heard about from watching Bakemonogatari first, such as how Araragi became a vampire.

Twitter is typing furiously

was nice knowin ya
1. Twitter couldn't even last an hour with PLA because now they're back to arguing over SwSh.

2. It's because the enemy variety and stuff that PLA has which I like. Don't get me wrong, I like BoTW but there being like 5 enemies that you regularly enconter kinda makes the game stale when exploring. Doesn't help that dungeons don't really exist and a lot of shrines are copy paste or 1 room puzzles. I'm not saying BoTW is bad, but maybe it could have sacrificed some content for more variety? Maybe BoTW 2 will be better becausw reusing assets cuts down the work load, making room fir new things.

Kizumonogatari
Yeah, that story... was an experience alright.

I can't say I didn't enjoy it but there were a lot of weird parts. I mean, even more than the usual Monogatari standarts.

That's bull****, every gamer knows that compromise is not a thing. A video game can either be perfect or the developers are lazy.

I dog on it a bit 'cause it's funny, but real talk I adore BotW: It really is IMO the best open world we have ATM.

But is it a perfect video game? Heck nah, as you said, enemy variety and the lack of dungeons hurt it a lot. I have hope BotW2 can help remedy some of this and kind of act like how Majora was to OoT: OoT established the formula, Majora improved upon it and fixed some of the flaws.

I also REALLY want a better narrative because HOO BOY was BotW's kinda a mess. It's a good story, but having no structure to how you interact with it in any kind of order hurts it a lot, and the Champions needed an entire spin off to get more characterization.

You joke, but there's this viral Twitter video where a Snorlax made the physics engine have a small glitch that mad him rapidly accelerate into a tree. It's a funny video, but gamers are queueing up the "multibillion dollar company", the "wow, Pokemon fans are settling for garbage" and other **** takes.

Maybe we should go back to the time where your cart turning into a ****ing jet in Skyrim was peak comedy. Idk what made gamers so cynical.

Well, the bad narrative was definitely a sacrifice for the amiunt if content it had. Was it a good trade off? Eh... depends on who you ask.

That said, AoC's being hyped up as a prequel and then immediately coping out so that it becane non canon is kinda bs.

The only real graphics complaint I have with PLA is the lack of any AA.

Granted, this is an issue I've had with ALL Nintendo games since the Wii U: Nintendo's hardware isn't really designed to handle complex post-processing effects like that, so it definitely isn't PLA exclusive.

Like, for real, 90% of Nintendo's games are baller in the visuals department; they just need to get some simplistic FXAA to smooth out the ugly jaggedies and then it would be 👌.

I'm still a Monogatari novice but Araragi is definitely the weakest point of everything I've experienced so far. Really hope he drops the pervert antics and becomes a bit more likeable as the stories go on.

If the bugs aren't like, game breaking?

IDK man, I think they're hilarious.

99% of Skyrim's enjoyment comes from the fact it's a broken mess, people don't know how to have fun anymore.
As an aspiring gane developer, let me just say the debugging is by far the hardest part of making a game. When I made my game for my development class last year, I spent hours with my professor just trying to fix 1 singular bug at a time. Unfortunately, one singular glitch=lazy devs.

Maybe gamers should all take a programming or game design class. I did my junior year if HS and it changed my perspective a lot.

I'm a hobbyist level designer myself and after working with stuff like A Hat in Time's Unreal editor and Portal 2's map tools?

Makin' games is hard, man. I have nothing but respect for the peeps that do it.

Yeah, that part of Araragi doesn't really go away but on the plus side, there's more to his character as most books built upon his character significantly.

I might even go as far as to say he's my favorite character after Senjougahara, at least when I don't want to strangle him.

Because i’m not a fan of the direction of Legends: Arceus. But since everyone likes it, then this is the direction they’ll probably go in with the main series
TBH I wouldn't worry about that when Legends is 99% likely (IMO) gonna be an entirely different pillar.

Like, Gen 9 is gonna be another typical mainline game.

Since we have all of the old Doom games on modern platforms, would be nice if he also had all the old Wolfenstein games. Mostly though, I want them on switch. Those old FPSs on a big tv give me motion sickness.

Man I have like a thousand things I want to do right now. Some important and some not. Doesn't help that my legs are in a lot of pain from having to go cross the city in like 30 minutes.

And right now, I'm super tempted to create a character that has Kurumi and some Genshin characters as inspiration. Thinking of a fire mage character with magical muskets and has a unique ability to create Jack'o'Lanterns as like steps.

It's so hard trying to think of unique characters that haven't been done already and preventing cliches.

Because i’m not a fan of the direction of Legends: Arceus. But since everyone likes it, then this is the direction they’ll probably go in with the main series
My god, I just realised with that style of writing that its you Snake. Wondered what happened to you.

I'm in the boat that its a good direction for the series but needs one more entry to pull me in. Taking in some of the exploration mechanics from BOTW or (and yes, fight me) Death Stranding to help catch Pokemon.

I dog on it a bit 'cause it's funny, but real talk I adore BotW: It really is IMO the best open world we have ATM.
Ehhhhh, I kinda disagree. For a Nintendo open world game yes but I wish there was more characterisation in the settings to make it far more memorable.

It's a great game but really, really needed a lot of touching up. And best open world? I'm unsure of that. Combat, various mechanics, art style, yes its up there but it needed more.

They've made it their mission to put Unleashed Sonic and 06 Sonic in eveything and nothing will stop them.
I mean, Sonic's Unleashed model does look good but I'm not sure it makes that much difference during gameplay.

Both games also had great cutscene graphics but that's not something you can replicate with a model swap, either.

It's an aesthetics thing TBH.

I personally don't like the Colors Ultimate model too much because he looks a little off. Like, I don't really like the texture work done on him too much and the way he looks in the lighting make him look way too shiny for my tastes.

The Unleashed model uses mats a little better and the overall color choice for the texture work just looks nicer to me.

That said: The game is not better or worse depending on the model: It's definitely an aspect people hyper-fixate on. The important part is "How does Sonic feel" and Colors/Colors Ultimate already got that pretty 10/10 IMO.

Actually

Not to start a debate on this (please don't) but I do got a question for Sonic peeps:

Did you...Actually notice, his quills were shorter in Forces?

'Cause I played a pretty large amount of Forces and never noticed it, had to have it pointed out.
