Yeah even I can see that. Part of why I would want to move off to Discord but still keep talking to you guys is just outside of some nights on the social thread it can be a ghost town after. Don't think I'll ever strike gold on a community again so want to make the most of it.

I'm probably gonna be mentioning it in detail the time comes but it is understandable why I don't want to be reliant on Smashboards to talk to people here. I understand some of you guys would prefer the forums system over Discord but I don't want to be coming here too often to talk to friends who have been a pillar of support during the pandemic era.

There's other reasons as well. So I might look into anything that could serve as like a mix between the two of Discord and forum.

That's really all I need left, I already got the best weapons and final limits for my team (though only Barret is using them with the maxed materia).

Probably gonna run the conformer on Yuffie, because all the hefty Materia is on Cloud's Triple Gain weapon.

I was there for that so I can answer this too:

Long and short of it, site winds up super dead. A few stragglers stayed behind, but most of the folks who stuck around last time were comp folks and Project M followers.

Project M bit the big one forever ago now and its community is scattered amongst the wind to a bunch of similar projects that are staying more grass roots (because they want to survive lol) so there isn't much home for them here.

And Ultimate's current situation in comp is abysmal when things going on in the world are making locals a huge risk and the online is poopy.

So yeah, unfortunately, I see this place becoming even more quiet soon. It's already a shadow of what it used to be 2 years ago, activity-wise.

I still want to keep in contact with you guys but not use the forum if it becomes dead but some people aren't up for using Discord.

Really want to find a way for it.

I might ask if I could make a poll for this on here on the social thread about that. Keep the buzz of it but off forum if that's the way it goes. I've got a spare server on Discord. Not the ones we have but you know.
