Next week is just about the end of August, plus a few more days.

And considering September directs have usually been within the first week or two of the month…

The week after bleeds into September, which would logically be the first place a September Direct could drop.

I could see a Direct happening in September, more so with the way Nintendo is going really strong on Twitter with the Dread marketing.

I could see them pulling out a Direct and have Dread stuff on It similar to how we had that one September Direct before the release of DQXI.

Come to think of it, I think there may be a Sakurai Presents showing the last character separate from an Nintendo Direct, like the Final Smash Presentation for the last, previous Smash game. Fighter 11 is the last of Ultimate's DLC characters, right?

Here's hoping for more crossover characters, really would love to see the Hornet, Segata or maybe Sakura.

I dunno about sw/sh, but I’m positive they’ll be allowed in gen 9 and onwards.

…Assuming a member of their evolutionary line is present.

It could be like the time capsule that let you transfer from Gen 1 to Gen 2. I also wouldn’t be too surprised if Sword andShield was updated this year with the remaining Pokémon and new forms, considering the sinnoh dex makes up a majority of the missing Pokémon.

You'd imagine they would be since, they're both "Gen 4", and Sinnoh's whole sthick back then, and seemingly now as well, is to give new forms to old 'Mons.
