No trading (nobody to trade with, no link cable anymore) ; Gym restrictions don't matter to me, give 'em if you want. xD

Night-san, catch a Crawdaunt and name if after anyone here in the PokeCenter.

The only restriction is that it must be a Swords Dance variant. I don't think it learns Swords Dance through breeding, so it shouldn't be too bad.

I'll do it with my Emerald version.

GIMME CHALLENGE.
Get an Electrike and name it Sexy Back. Its moveset can only consist of the first four moves it knows/learns when you obtain it.

This challenge would have been much easier to give if you would have chosen Ruby or Sapphire. :\ Timing is supposed to be everything, but there aren't many things in Emerald that appear at differing levels throughout the game (bar large jumps in level, like Makuhita). Ruby and Sapphire had quite a few, thanks to giving access to fun things like Surskit and Mawile/Sableye (which had their availability greatly lowered in Emerald). This game really only had Zigzagoon (who always sucks), Poochyena (who also always sucks), Zubat (who works for any game and thus wasn't an option for me), and Tentacool (same issue as Zubat). I'm just glad that Electrike's level differences are reasonable, yet still drastic enough to make a huge difference in how difficult he can be for you to use.

Ooh, this should be interesting. o3o

So, we have-

Male Ralts, (Nickname Unknown) no non-Psychic moves, cannot know damaging moves.
Electrike (Sexy Back) that only knows the first four moves that it learns.
Whismur (ELEVEN) that knows only sound moves
Crawdaunt (named after anyone in the Poke Center) that knows Swords Dance

Can I evolve these (besides Crawdaunt, of course), or are they at these stages only?
Any other requests? Starter?

I would've done my Sapphire, but... It's missing. ;-;
For some reason the Advanced Generation games are the hardest to keep track of... My FireRed, Sapphire, and Colesseum are all lost (though the last one's my friend's fault). D:

You can evolve the Electrike.

Okay ill do Pokemon Gold, sorry forgot to put that
Get an Oddish and name it SUPERMARIO. It must evolve into a Bellossom at level 21. It must also take on Ho-Oh alone.

By "take on" you mean die unless Bellossom can pull off some crazy Sleep Powder / Return business.

That's the point. Granted, he has an advantage to playing the original as opposed to HeartGold. In the original, you never even had to go for Ho-Oh. It wasn't implemented into the actual story in any way. So he can get Bellossom to level 100 if he wants and get all 16 badges, beat Red and whatnot before taking it on.

Stealing this one because I've been waiting three days.
Can you even catch a Snubbull in Emerald? D: If you want I could give you something else, since I didn't know if you wanted another one from the same person, but if you don't care...

Anyways, I finally decided to start up my challenge. I found it best to give myself the first 2 Pokemon suggested to me at the start of my game, and then use a random number generator to determine which routes I would catch the other 4. Here they are:

134: Hoppip (oh my god it's even more useless than before, this is the route right before Victory Road)
116: Carvanha (this is actually really early, I could fight Roxanne with him if I wanted)
107: Chinchou (it sounds early, but it's a water route >.> won't get it till after the 5th gym)
115: Spheal (again, water route >.<)

So basically, Lotad, Relicanth and Carvanha are the ones I'll have for most of the game. Now it's even harder lulz.

*begins playing*

I named my character "NOBODY" for no reason at all.

The hardest part of this game so far has been the rival fight, since all I had was a Lotad with Astonish with weak defenses, so her Scracth was just cutting through poor Zimbabwe. <.> Had to try that a few times and get Zimbabwe up a few levels before I beat her. **** it May. >.>

After that, I was given access to Pokeballs, which allowed me to get ATARI the Relicanth, who has been doing awesome (and he's Jolly, which is lol). Having a Rock-type this early in the game is really good for its resistances.

I caught MOOD4FOOD the Carvanha right before I took on Roxanne (I beat her with Atari Water Guns, which ***** her team). He's been doing alright, and he IS Adamant, so hopefully he can do some good things for me later on.

My team after beating Roxanne:

You named your Carvanha "Mood4Food". <333

I am still at a loss for my Pokemon FireRed, which I've tried to find when I'm not coughing my throat out.

@ Night-san:
Baltoy named THE GAME. Must know mud-slap, and can only know one other damaging move. Evolution is allowed.

I think it's hilarious how we've actually had so many "Do not evolve" Pokemon that now we actually imply that the Pokemon can't evolve when it's mentioned, as opposed to the other way around like it should be.

I've yet to start this because I'm still trying to juggle my team for my new job. Switching shifts really messes with you.

I'm still trying to recover from being sick for the past week. I've taken so many different medications it's not even funny.

So Roselia isn't actually obtainable in Emerald.

-Terywj
Well then. Tropius it is. Nickname it after a PokeCenter regular. That's all.

I still can't find my FireRed. Granted I've had no time looking for it, between napping to ease the pain of being sick and doing break work and all.

Mine's gone too. x_x Lent it to a friend who had never played Pokemon so she could see what she'd been missing, but haven't gotten it back.
Note to self: Don't be stupid and lend games to people who live five hours away. ._.
At least I have LeafGreen though.

Starter, anyone...? I'm itching to get going on this challenge. ._.

I know it's in my room but I just can't find it.

Oh and I'll suggest the starter...as soon as I remember what game you're playing. ^^;;

I know I've already posted about doing a Diamond run of this, but I want to start one of these runs now.

Ruby version, cannot trade, but can AR any Gen 1 or 2 pokes
Only restriction: suggestions may only have one type (got the idea from Sir Bedevere's run)

You can use Pokemon from Generations I and II? Sweet.

Here's my suggestion - Gardevoir nicknamed "Problems". The only restriction is that he has to be male.

Edit: That's such a fail since I posted a Generation III Pokemon.

Abra, don't evolve it. Name it Tacgnol. It has to know Flash, Teleport, and two other moves of your choice.

Yeah, I can get/use Gen 1 and 2 pokes, but for some reason I can't find any codes that work for generating Gen 3 pokes, so for them I'm limited to what's available in Ruby.

We'll see if I can manage to find a Ralts. Now I need five more.

Oh and suggestions on a nickname for my starter Treecko (only one that stays mono-type)?

Incidentally, when we say "only learn such and such" with damaging moves, etc., we mean just don't use them if we're forced to learn them or HM slave, right?

Sudowoodo named Mr. Mime. Must always have a special offensive move.

One thing that I realized I should have clarified is that the pokes suggested should not become dual-types at any stage of their evos. It hasn't been a problem so far, but I had to make that clear for other suggestion.

Team so far:
Treecko (to be named)
Gradevoir (M) named "Problems"
Abra named "Tacgnol" that cannot evolve, must know Teleport and Flash
Sudowoodo named "Mr. Mime" and must always have a specially offensive move
