I just had a Rosalina-related-dream last night, and I am so upset it didn't come true. At school, I tried to remember the dream because I know people tend to forget and lose each fragments of the dreams as they wake up, luckily I remembered some. Like before, I'll narrate it in turqoise.

In my dream, I saw Rosalina in the game "Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games". Alas, it was different, not like the one you've seen before. This time, within the walls of the subconsious mind, Rosalina was playable in not only gymnastic but all every other single events! She literally could be playable like every other characters in each event, but for the Wii U version only. I had played as her, in a boxing match and her shorts outfit was exposed for the eye to witness. It was a tank top, with shorts, and her hair, face and assessories were the same. I did not see her winter outfit, but the dream told me it was there. I saw so many features and I realized that I do not have the game yet, and so I decided to get it for my birthday. I was merely playing a demo, it was thrilling to the point where I deemed this game a success. I was to get it, where I nearly got my hands on the game but reality captured me and stripped me of my fantasies, in which the dream had ended.

Anyways, that was my dream. And there's something else that I want to show, and be aware of language.

So I've been fighting some amiibo again recently, and I gotta say they are more underwhelming than I previously thought. Back in the past, I said my Rosalina amiibo was pretty terrible, even at level 50 she never beat me. This time, I decided to take it up a notch by fighting a Charizard amiibo with 200 attack, defense, and speed... and it was still not challenging enough.

I don't know about you guys, but have you ever had a challenging fight or even been beaten by an amiibo?

You might not training your amiibo properly, I guess... perhaps you can go and search around the web on how to properly train your amiibo.
I remember the first time I play against my Lv50 Mario amiibo, and yeah I got beaten, I accidentally train my Mario to do Up Smash a lot but very precisely.

They are still pretty good even if you train them by doing one single move.
There is also an amiibo training guide here on Smashboards, it's long but pretty informative.

Trying to train an amiibo to fight like you is pretty much impossible as the amiibo levels up. It'll eventually perform stuff that you never taught it at all; that has happened with my Mewtwo amiibo.

Amusingly, I have been able to modify Rosalina's attributes to make her a bit better at certain spots. The biggest area was her air speed.

Confirmed? By whom? Surely you don't mean another tier list. Remember the last one of those they tried? I don't think she's contested, now that Bayonetta's been nerfed.

I've always wondered how Rosalina would fare with a higher falling speed. I always feel that her punish game is inhibited by how long she takes her time to reach the ground, it makes punishing with aerials harder than it should be. Makes landing a pain as well.

Who would've thought that the strongest character on the beginning of the 3DS after all these patches & nerfs is now being considered the best again by many people. I don't know if I personally rate Rosalina & Luma number 1, but if it's ever decided to be official in a tier list, then I'll gladly accept her placing as best character in the game.

Oh, and you can tell people are considering Rosalina the best because hatred towards her has been slowly rising after Bayonetta got nerfed. People on the internet are saying Rosalina and Cloud should be nerfed now. It's amazing how fast people shift their attention on nerfing the next character. It'd be better if people would ask for buffs instead, but you know, for some people it's easier to hate than to love.

Sorry? Cloud is one of her worst matchup. He and Meta Knight can be a real pain to fight.

Your point? Mega Man is one of Luigi's worst matchups, yet Luigi has always been by far the better character.

My solution was increasing Rosalina's air speed so that fewer fighters can keep up with her air mobility with just their walk speed alone. It would also help in the recovery department, since Launch Star can't deal any damage.

On a different note, I did nerf Meta Knight's air speed as well, but I also decreased his falling speed. Even with 0.8 air speed, Meta Knight can still make long-ranged recoveries with his recovery move arsenal, and the falling speed decrease (decreased to 1.56) does help counter the air speed nerf a bit.

Most of Rosalina's tough competition consists of high ranked fighters though, which is the case with Meta Knight and Cloud. Most low ranked fighters are at a disadvantage if they can't contain the Luma, and the low ranked fighters who can compete with Rosalina don't necessarily have an advantage against her.

I got(My brother actually) and played the 3DS version a day before the official release, and at that time I never had thought Rosalina was the strongest character. Until I saw her performance at the National Tournament. That's also when my Rosalina started to improve.

It's always annoying when your favorite characters are being hated and demand to get nerfed.
What I am most glad about all over the patches, is how did Shulk, and Ike got buffed. I quickly gave up on Shulk at the beginning of the 3DS version relase. After the buff patch. Shulk is now more viable than he was before. Ike was used to be my brother's mains(And ironically one of my most hated character in Brawl). Is my best Fire Emblem main, my two brothers were Fire Emblem pros, and Ike was the only FE character that I can beat them.

I don't think Rosalina is the best character right now. She has bad match-ups in Meta Knight and Cloud and she is stronger in low/mid level play because of her diverse playstyle and "gimmick". At top level she is still incredibly strong but her shortcomings starts to really matter.
As of now the best three characters are who have the best match-ups spreads in the game. Sheik is possibly the one with the greatest risk of falling off the top3 as soon as top player will start exploit her lack of raw kill power but with players like Mr R and VoiD doing the work I don't see this happen very soon.

I still think has the potential to be the best charcter in the future. IMHO she is the most versatile character in the game when Luma is alive but her learning curve will make this process incredibly slow.
