Look what came today!

My one ended up a bit thinned out, probably because it got squished up in the package, but it looks really nice and feels really soft! Looks better in person, and if you squeeze him he looks perfect.

Here are some funny/cute photos I took with it.
Luma dah stronk

He's a big one!

Light and Darkness become cute little buddies!

And I've always wanted to do this, lol

That's nice, I'm still climbing that mountain of getting Rosalina and Luma merchandises. And I have that exact same plushie, the Rosalina one with a dress. I just need Cat Rosalina, 99,999,999 plush Lumas and I'll be set!

And on the subject of Rosalina's class. I'm pretty sure she's skill, I mean there ARE leaked rumors about it. I may not have a source, but it's my prediction for the upcoming Olympic Games.

Yep, it looks perfect in real life, for some reason it looks thin in photos lol. I'm glad you really like it :)

Oh my god I laughed perhaps too much with those pics. But are you totally sure it's not a pillow? It looks kind of big. Pit may be right for once.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, that plushie is actually roughly life-size. Lumas are usually depicted as being around a foot tall, and this plushie is within that range.

And yes, you totally could use it as a little pillow. I might do that sometime.

^But she actually has a fit, strong, fairly thick (in some areas) body, is extremely heavy, and is huge. So the power typing makes complete sense.

Besides, most physically strong female characters are thin as a rake, and sometimes tiny. Just look at Tifa, or even Bayonetta. Her build is frankly irrelevant because vidya gaem logic, but it helps that she actually has a build that would justify being a power type.

If you wanted to make Rosalina have a typing that makes the most sense for her character, she'd have to be an "All-Round" with all stats maxed out. And they're not gonna do that. :V

We don't need another female character that's All-Round, Speed, Technique, etc. There are absolutely no female Power types in most Mario spin-offs to my knowledge, and Rosalina makes the most sense to be a Power type out of all of them anyway. Might as well make her one.
This guy here. A hero.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with Rosalina being a Power-type character. Making her an All-around-type just by looking at her body build is just stupid.

Like I said already, the Power-type tends to equal poor technique attributes. For a person who has levitation powers, I would think that Rosalina can use those powers to manipulate her shots; this would meet the Tricky-type criteria.

Anyway, it's clear that I'm just beating up dead horses now, so I'm just going to end the topic here.

That's like making a stick figure a power-type.

To end my point, I just don't see Rosalina as this super macho girl that's being brought up. It's already dumb enough that she's being placed in the same weight category as Donkey Kong, because in truth, she has more in common with Waluigi than she does with Wario, Donkey Kong, and Bowser.

End of story, see ya later, and the topic has left the building.

I don't think anyone is saying she's "super macho".

A character can be strong and fit physically, but still graceful, elegant, feminine, and reserved in personality and presentation. Macho refers less to a person BEING strong, and more to a person TRYING to present themselves as "strong", like by always picking fights or showing off their muscles. Someone doesn't need to literally be strong to be macho.

Just look at Rosalina in Ultra Smash - she's a Power character with record breaking shot speeds, but she still comes off as graceful and elegant in how she presents herself. She still floats around and levitates the ball when serving, she still does cute twirls with sparkles around her, she still modestly and even somewhat shyly waves to the crowd when she scores a shot, etc. Yet she has a serious, powerful, commanding air about her, with her posture, her mostly having a poker face, and her clean, sharp swings at the ball with one hand (as opposed to Peach who daintily swings at the ball with two hands).

If Rosalina were to be a Power type in the olympic games, why would Gymnastic be her main sport? Well, it's fair to say that if she was doing the rings or whatever you call it. But dancing is what she's mainly focused on, so I don't see how that requires Power when Speed, Technique and Skill can do. I've been hoping that Rosalina would move a bit quicker since she owns a Comet that can travel lightyears.

I have nothing against Rosalina being Power type here but it's nice to change once in a while. At least for different sports.

That's the paradox.
The 3DS version gives her more power than speed and technique. And yet, she's still stuck with the gymnastic event.
Plus, I'm not sure the Comet Observatory has anything to do with her own speed, as the Observatory's energy mainly comes from the Power and Grand Stars (I expect someone's disagreement there). She can certainly be fast when she flies, and just average with her legs.

Gymnastics is more of a technique-based event, so if Rosalina is exclusive to that event, it would make more sense if technique is her strongest stat.

I'm just referencing her speed to a Comet.

Nintendo has a knack for placing characters into certain categories based off of their personality. Even though Waluigi is a tall, lanky character, he's still considered a technique character based on his personality, and not his build. Rosalina is placed as a power type because of her authoritative and straightforward demeanor. She's graceful and feminine, yes, but her most defining characteristic is her personality, with her tall build being second.

In any case, I think it's best this topic be dropped, I think everyone's stance is clear.

I don't think it matters ultimately, it looks like she's gonna be relegated to just gymnastics even in the Wii U version.

No matter what, I still have faith that Rosalina won't be exclusive to only specific parts of the game. Like I said before, it's not even May yet. I'm believing in this game, because they have so much more months before it's out.

On a different subject, Star Fox Zero is getting closer to its release, but I do find Wolf's appearance in that game to be quite weird.

The soundtrack is the only thing we have so far that signifies that it'll be a great game. Miyamoto is producing the game himself... It'll obviously be good.

I'm excited for Star Fox Zero to come out next week as well. I already have it preordered so I'll be expecting it sometime after. And since I preordered it at GameStop, it'll also come with a nice looking Star Fox patch.

I just learned the game's voices were dubbed in every languages. I find this more than amazing! I never liked how Nintendo often ignored all languages except Japanese and English. I'm so surprised it happened in a game of Miyamoto...
I'm gonna listen to each trailer just to appreciate all those voices. I'm so happy!

EDIT: Wow sorry to give this without the context it was posted with but it's really cute and really sad:

Eh, looks like SF Zero has far more hype compared to his presentation at E3
About Rosalina and her type, I just wanna point out that Rosalina, just like 99,9 % of female antropomorphic characters in videogames, is a mesomorph and as such separing characters' abilities based on their body type ain't that good of an idea when almost every female is a mesomorph.
A mesomorph is a body type wich has has a lean, strong and muscular shape, female have an hourglass appearence, the shoulders are usually square/broad-shaped and wider than the hips and and they burn and gain fat and thus grow muscles at high speed.
The other type is the ectomorph, wich is skinny, long-boned, fragile, usually hyperactive, they hardly build any muscles, female often have a flat chest and light-binding metabolism
The third and final is the endomorph, wich haveround, bulky/soft builds and can build up both muscle and fat very easily, have round and large joints, they fall asleep and get fatigued the easiest, they have slugghist metabolism, basically the opposite of the ectomorphs.
I don't think I have to explain why I said most antroporphic female characters are mesomorph, or sometimes ackwardly busty and muscular ectomorphs.
Now that I think of it, Peach might be an ectomorph, wich would explain a wide array of her skills and of her appearence, especially when comprared to a mesomorph such as Rosalina

This is probably pointless to say now, but I did find out that Gravitational Pull has no effect against the effects of the Superspicy Curry.

Is it just me or do I find Rosalina's Final Smash useless and her Gravitational pull.
Power Star comes down to where you activate the Final Smash. Using it near the edge of the battlefield can definitely cause problems for the fighters who are trying to recover.

As for Gravitational Pull, you do need good reads if you expect to counter any of the projectiles that head your way.

Thanks for the information! There happens to be a few friends that battle better than me, I'd like to top them.

You can trap opponents in Power Star for a whopping amount damage, once I did more or less 250%. Gravitational Pull is probably the most broken move on the entire Rosalina moveset: zero cooldown, enormous range and invalidates half the cast lol (I know that no one is stupid enough to not punish that move but when used correctly it's impossible to overcome)

Guess not everyone Googles for 30 seconds about what he's going to type about just to be sure of what he's speaking of.

Speaking of Gravitational pull, the deal with that move is that the rotating hitbox usually isn't enough to stop somebody from punishing you especially in mid-range combat and inward, plus punishing you is made easier by failing to absorb. However there's this interesting deal with slowing down your fall when using gravity pull to mix-up recovery(you may try to mix-up anti-juggling manuvers but you usually don't want to).

I was trying to use Gravitational Pull to rotate Rosa when airborne. It can be useful because recovering when facing the opposite direction of the stage can be painful sometimes.

It, unfortunately, turns out I play better as other characters than I do Rosalina & Luma. I need to really up my game with her!

This video though, I wonder if it would be funny if Rosalina were actually saying these. Unbelievable!
