Not really here to stay in this thread, but just checking up on old times. Lots have changed around here huh.

Whenever I play Smash, I do still play Rosalina though with a side of Corrin. (Though I play Corrin a little bit more at the moment to try to get more of a feel for her. Get her up to speed of Rosalina).

I think I ought to join this here Discord. Sounds hype. I'll probably set myself up by this Friday or something. Who better than Rosalina to practice more of and get some tips with fellow players amirite? I'd honestly say she is one of the more tricky of my mains for me to get a decent hold of besides Mega Man, who feels absolutely nothing like the rest of them. Hopefully my week turns out okay enough and all see you all at the Discord.

So I hear the Dsi shop is discontinued, well... I don't really care too much, cause first off, I don't have a Dsi...anymore... And second of all, I can't remember a thing about the Dsi, and I do feel sorry for those who owns it.
It's a long week, and people scarcely post here, or maybe it's the lack of Rosalina relating news. Eh, probably everyone's on Discord.

The one in the Rosalina Social seemed to boring with locked voice channels and people only talking about smash and competitive stuff.

I've been too focused on Hyrule Warriors Legends and my New 3DS XL to really have much to say.

I haven't gone back and finished my Paper Rosalina, or the stuff on the Tennis model yet. And my Luma hasn't arrived yet.

I did get the Baby Rosalina badge in the Badge Arcade today though. Caught it on the final day too, almost completely missed it. So I'm once again up to date with my Rosalina badges.

There hasn't been much new stuff to talk about regarding official Rosalina news either. At this point I just wanna see if she's fully playable in the Wii U Rio Olympics game, though I kinda doubt it at this point. If she isn't then I st least hope the model is put to good use in the game, and I look forward to the GIFs and images. And if the model is promptly ripped, then even better.

I keep my eye out for news though so if something comes up I'll post about that.

In the one I created there are specific rooms to talk about smash (metagame channel) and there are several channels where you can talk about anything, even if it's not smash related so long as it's sfw

Yeah, but sometime people tend to speak about Smash there, but I guess you're right.

You're right that more often than not, people talk about smash but I think that's to be expected since it's a smash characters discord group, though if I were to give it a ratio I would say it's like 60% smash talk and 40% everything else

...And so on, it's just that. Not that I dislike the Discord, but I feel sort of lonely when other people talk about something I'm not too interested in, beside Rosalina. I should get back on the Discord since you added some few new channels. It really had been a while.

Yea you should try it out again :D I doubt you won't find several people to talk to about non smash things

I've been too busy these days playing through games like Fire Emblem Fates, Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid V, Batman: Arkham Asylum and a **** load of other games that I've yet to start on. ****!

Personally I found that today. Seems faster than the original but that's incredible how Rosalina in the Observatory is beautiful. Remixed with Luma's theme makes it really cute, but I'd like a remix played like the original, I mean with orchestral music. The Smash remix seems like a music you'd hear during a fair and "Mini Mario & Friends challenge whatever the name is" music sounds just like Rosalina's board in MP10, with Luma's theme added.
But the dramatic part of the song would be awesome with an orchestra.
I once watched a video of the theme played on glasses, it was really beautiful.

Oh, and as I'm here, just noticed Rosalina's nail weren't polished in her Olympics' artworks. They were in Ultra Smash though. Not really logic.

I've been playing Mario Kart 8 a bit more lately since I've been narrowing down my backlog of games (because I'm broke) mainly to get all the GP trophies, 3 Star ranks, and unlocking custom parts. I haven't gotten to 200CC yet, but I'm sure that will annihilate me when I get to it.

Other than that, there's just not much exciting Nintendo related stuff at the moment. Just passing time during a Nintendo drought (big surprise) waiting for Star Fox Zero and... yeah. Perhaps they could've spent more time filling holes in their lineup instead of hiring the uncles of random reddit and neogaf users.

I already have Star Fox Zero + Guard preordered so I'm definitely looking forward to that.
I got no plans to get Hyrule Warriors Legends at the moment cuz I'm still playing Fire Emblem Fates.
I got no interest in Pokken Tournament because I'm not a Pokemon person anymore.

On the subject of Mario Kart, someone posted a link to a fan-made Mario Kart article back at the Mario Kart general discussion thread.

The owner of the article did work on it hard, but I don't exactly agree with some of its contents, such as the roster choices, and the stat spread inputs; an example being King K. Rool, where I'd more portray him to have the highest speed attributes and the lowest handling attributes, along with being very heavy.

Anyway, I'd rather take the Koopalings over characters like Mr. Blizzard, Dreambert, Pauline, and Dr. Mario.

My only requests I have for Mario Kart 9 are more crossover stuff, improvments to online features, a good battle mode, and an Adventure Mode like the one in Crash Team Racing, or Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.

As for characters, the only Mario characters I want are Luma, or Young Rosalina, to replace Baby Rosalina. I don't really hate Baby Rosalina but we have better options for a similar character. Paper Mario characters and what not are a pipe dream.

As for crossover stuff, Kirby at least should be added. I also think it's time for Pac-Man to be in a console Mario Kart game.

She already has one, her Comet Observatory, haha!

Doesn't the blue parasol in MK8 and the blue birthday girl in MK7 count as her own kart? If she were to get a new kart or bike, it would be nice to have some shooting stars effects to make it more accurate. And, you know, starry decorations on the vehicle.

I did think of some vehicle bodies that could go well with Rosalina, such as the Warp Star (Kirby's signature vehicle body), and a bike that I've named the Twinkle Scooter (a bike body that would also work with the Luma).

As cute as it is to see Rosalina ride the Biddybuggy, seeing her use the Warp Star would better reference her cosmic attire.

As for the stats for the Warp Star and Twinkle Scooter...

Regarding retro stages, I feel that MK7 had the best selection, with Kalamari Desert, Koopa Cape, and Airship Fortress. These are my favorites in their respective games, but I wouldn't mind seeing Sky Garden or especially Rosalina's Ice World return. I love the music on that course.

One has to wonder what the next gimmick will be? Regarding characters, I would want them to keep the Koopalings (read: Lemmy) and put Petey Piranha back in. I have a rather fond liking of those characters.

The main problem that I've had with Petey Piranha was how big his head is, which can be a problem if you're trying to see what's ahead. Anyway, in terms of new gimmicks, I really don't know what else can be implemented onto the series. I do know that Mario Kart DS didn't offer any new gimmicks outside of the pointless Items stat.

Yeah, it's the Shooting Star in NTSC regions.

It's just localisation at play.

Europe and Japan are generally considered to be more accepting of cuter things, while America prefers things that seem cool and badass.

"Shooting Star" sounds a lot cooler than "Twinkle Star". The latter just sounds cute.

It's like how they always make Kirby look like he's ready to wage war on the American box art, while he usually just looks happy and cute in the European/Japanese box art.
