That leak is kinda killing my hope. There's just, I mean I know it could be fake but that's a hell of a lot of effort for a fake. I know that's happened before but still. If Dr. Mario, Dark Pit, Bowser Jr., and Duck Hunt Dog (this i dont mind but) get in over Ridley, Mewtwo, K. Rool, and any other constantly requested charcter I dunno how I'd feel. Doc and Emo Pit could easily be alt costumes.
Anyway, no solid deconfirmation of Ridley as of yet. Another week of anxiety I suppose, but better than disappointment too.

I have to disagree about Dr. Mario.
Sure, he was a clone, but Sakurai could change him into a semi-clone.
Dr. Mario doenst even use fireballs, F.L.U.D.D. and "Mario Finale".
I agree with Dark Pit tho.

Ah sorry, I wager the eak-lay has been discussed to death in here, huh?
That is true about it taking several hours before the Robin video announcement. With the update coming so late though, do you think Sakurai would stay at work til like 10pm to put up an extra update about a video on monday? Though I guess it could be automated. I hope we do get some newcomer next week. When he showed off the Robin video only a month after E3 I figured they were going to start doing reveals once a month until the 3DS release. Either that was a bad assumption or we get one soon?
Didn't Meta Knights challenger thing get taken down with the music update? I was kind of hoping if Ridley had a newcomer video that it'd be during the Metroid anniversary month. If he does have one wouldn't it make sense to show it off a few weeks before release to let word of mouth and constant discussion about it spread?

We will get our beautiful purple space dragon, we've been staring death in the eye every morning for over a year now, we've taken on leaks worst than this before, we will see the glorious day Ridley takes to the skys, be it a Monday direct or September 13th.

Hm, I think there should be another Smash Direct in the near future.
For example, Mario Kart 8 got one 1 month ahead of it's release.
Smash however comes out in nearly 3 weeks.
Maybe next week:
The last Smash Direct was on a tuesday,
next week's tuesday falls on August 26th,
which Metroid II was released on in 1991.
The only other Metroid anniversaries left are wednesday, August 27th (MP3 NA release),
and September 2nd and 3rd
(Other M's japanese and european release dates).
They are falling on a tuesday and a wednesday.
If a Direct is to be announced for one of those dates,
chances stand quite good we`ll see Ridley.
Heck, we'll have 4 Metroid anniversaries of 3 different games in the next 3 weeks.
Nearing the game's release,
those might be the last chances to reveal him big time before the game comes out.

It really would make sense to have another Smash direct soon. At the very least we do have one more newcomer video coming. I was just hoping we wouldn't have to wait until September to see it, and that it involved Ridley.
If Ridley is in, Smash Run is just going to be his theme on loop. Forever. As I go through farming gear and eating things as Ridley. It would be glorious.

Well meta knights banner is down on the site. Possible direct next week with a villains trailer with the two ghiriham related pics as a tease. Hoping for it to show ridley, king k rool, ganondorf, bowser and wolf. It would honestly be an amazing trailer

It's because characters have a "Challenger approaching" banner on the smash site and it only goes away after another character gets revealed

Oh, I know. Ever since showing he was actually in the game, pretty much anything else they could tease about him became irrelevant other than boss or not. I just remember when we got Norfair + Ridley fight theme in brawl and a lot of people thought that was indicative of his playability.
