I can't wait to finally play Super Smash Bros. for Wii U only to find out that Ridley isn't in the game

And all traces of the Pyrosphere are gone.

I know, but it would still be hilarious if he were in it. He's basically become the mascot of Ridley detractors at this point. :p

So how many of you here have created potential movesets for Ridley? Just thinking of a potential topic to discuss that doesn't involve detractors.

Here's my idea for Ridley's "Flight Mode", after looking at the shadow, which I had posted earlier.

Considering that Robin is confirmed to have aerial smashes, Ridley will take that concept and run (or fly) with it in his "flight mode". I imagine that some of his moves in the air will be at least somewhat reminiscent of his boss fight in Brawl, in which he makes dash attacks, grinds his tail against the floor, or swoops down at the fighters.

Smashes

:GCCL::GCCR:: Ridley will charge towards his opponents like he did in Brawl at 20% damage minimum with decent knockback. Sweetspot is somewhere around the tip of his snout, causing damage around 29%. The player has the option to continue the side smash if he or she connects with a player, making Ridley swipe at them. You can tilt the angle of Ridley's claw for either a meteor smash or an aerial smash if you want them flying in a star KO.

:GCCD:: Ridley will unleash his stinger-tail at the opponents at 22% damage minimum, and 30% damage maximum, with 36% damage at sweetspot (the tail-spike). Like the Side-Smash, you can tilt the angle to which his stinger-tail will land, and possibly even control its overall distance depending on how long you charge it.

:GCCU:: Ridley will start charging a plasma ball in his mouth, and will spit it upward for 15% damage minimum. If fully charged, it will hit at 31% damage, going at an even further distance.

And now for aerial attacks...


Forward aerial : Ridley makes an upward swipe at the players with his right claw (think Little Mac). Decent knockback.

Backward aerial: Ridley swings his left claw horizontally against the players behind him, which also has some decent knockback, and could be used to destroy weak projectiles like Samus's missiles. (I'm not too sure about this because I imagine that Ridley could use his shield during this mode, though that might make him OP. I still need to make some revisions later on).

:GCD::GCA:: Ridley swings his tail in an arch at 10% damage if sourspotted, 15% sweetspotted.

:GCU::GCA:: Ridley swings his right claw above his head (think Bowser), which has some pretty weak knockback but decent damage around 17%.

This is just something that I immediately thought of on the fly after analyzing the shadow, so I'm still thinking about the capabilities of what Ridley can do in "flight mode". I really don't do stuff like this often, but Ridley is such a ridiculously easy character to make a moveset for, that I couldn't help but get in on the action.

I don't really expect that pokemon announcement to be anything smash related. I'm hoping for like a stadium style wii u game but I dunno why, the 3ds graphics are already so good.

You don't have to open them all. So, you accept that challenge and have no right to complain about that once you opened first spoiler. So, it is not something that we force you to open. Deal with it.

Even SSB wikis (at least those that you can trust) agrees about that whole unconfirmed Ridley thing.

Yeah, because it makes a lot of sense to tease Ridley for a whole year just to be the same ****ing thing he was in Brawl, of course.

None of which changes the fact that it's annoying.

Also, I have every right to complain, whether I opened them all or not.

Finally, while you are correct in that I am not forced to open them all, you are forcing the mods to open them all, as they have to in case you're hiding personal attacks or other unallowed content in there.



Does it add anything to your post to include them? No, it's just a stupid hassle that is really annoying.

You can just quote those posts, skip "[ spoiler ]" part, read what is inside, then go away. But yeah, now i agree that it is not a very good thing.

I think he mentioned only new alts we don't know yet, and i'd love Bowser Jr. too.....
And i think the only leaks that will be true are with pictures or videos some days before japanese release....

The only leaks we should trust now are leaks with actual screenshots that are posted few weeks before 3DS release and few days after 3DS release. Otherwise, we should not waste our time on that. Also, they must have new HD models that never appeared before in the same way. Otherwise, they are fake. BUT that is not what this thread is about.

I really hope Ridley's role is revealed before launch. I don't like spoilers and want to find the hidden characters myself.
Then again, I'll probably keep on hanging around Smashboards so those spoils will get to me eventually.
